  1. hahaha i saw the pod at the ccc, and thought that there is definately a niche for a light, fast assembly aluminum pod.
  2. I will agree that the hooks acs is getting seem superb.... i only have one example, but here it is. you may remember philly guys went to town lake a month ago. well zach gave me a rig he tied on a long shank pop up hook i believe he got from acs. maybe it was the hook and his was his craftsmanship, maybe it was luck, but i finally retired this rig, YESTERDAY. i must have landed 50 fish on that one hook- including a 29 and a 32.5 and others at town. as well as a 20 and plenty of 15s here in philly. i have re sharpened the hook a few times, and the only reason i stopped using the rig is because the power pro is starting to fray at the knot. i'll tie it up onto a new hair and i will go back to using my lucky hook. the funniest thing is, i have lost plenty of other rigs lately to rocks and othe snags.... i just get lucky every time with this one. fish have been getting spawny again lately here judging by how excited they get when i have them on the mat.... anyway, they have been so fiesty that matt and i both have bent many many hooks. not that one... who would've thought.... a lucky hook. maybe i can get it plated. so anyway... zach- what brand of hook was that?
  3. i just caught 2 this evening in just a few hour session- 1 on corn micros and one on hempseed. again- both flavors are super. i am wondering keith... i read a post in the past that you were testing corn flavored boilies not out yet... a larger size.... will it ever be possible to see the particle flavors in a full sized model?
  4. this is an interesting development. i guess when you deal with people, you are always going to be dealing with their personalities. i only have dealt with royals baits. i havent had any contact with the individuals spoke of, but i have tried several of the baits. as zach mentioned, we in philly have done well with corn micros; absolutely as well as other baits. i fish at least 4 or more days per week, but i also work 6-7. so my sessions are shorter than i wished. i guess i havent pulled any 30 lbers out on royal baits, but also because i am strapped for time i havent exactly dedicated myself to trek to the venues where they will be very often. i did catch one 25 in austin with corn micros but i only used them for a moment... here in philly, i have definately caught some of the biggest fish i have seen in selected venues using corn micros, and more recently i have been very satisfied with hempseed. if i was to give a true evaluation, my only criticism so far is the brittleness that can develop after soaking in certain flavors. i also think the pop up recipe needs some work. whatever anyway. i just got a roll-a-ball today in the mail.
  5. i really love the corn micros. they are a little brittle but i have had great luck on them. i reccomend them to anyone especially if you are chumming with any ammount of canned corn (oddball)
