I got 1 Ranger net from Bass Pro and the other from Dick's Sporting Goods. The one from Dicks came with the larger head and fish friendly mesh but the one from Bass Pro had knotted mesh and needed to be changed. I got the replacement mesh and also an additional handle section by calling the number on the Ranger website and talking to the owner- he agreed to sell to me directly because I'd already tried to buy them and then tried to special order them from Bass Pro, Dicks and Cabelas. Now that I have them, I wouldn't use anything else.

Had a great time at this event- thanks for running it Bill. My first trip to Storey Lake, but definitely not my last.

Okay Bill, sign me up. I'll be there on Friday.

Mickey- did Howard say how the fishing was?

Sounds great but hopefully the banks won't be too clarty otherwise we'll be up to the eyes o' clarts. Sorry, but when the opportunity to use a couple of good old Geordie words comes up, I can't resist!

I just listed 3 reels on the Tackle Trading Post section of this forum.

Brandon deserves a lot of credit for stepping in at the 11th hour to run the 2014 Wooden Shoe tournament- he was out at 2.30am setting pegs at the venue while the rest of us slept. Very well run tournament- great job!

Brian- I talked to Daniel today- he's going to ship everything to me in the next couple of days. He nominated the Big Fish winner as the recipient of the CC Moore prize.

Wooden Shoe may be run by someone else............watch this space

Don't be surprised if Mike Arnt doesn't show up with the goods- wouldn't be the first time..........or the second time come to think of it.

Hoping to get in a couple of days before the event- maybe Thursday. Overnight fishing a little north of Holland for some big girls is the plan. I'd like to join you to catch some king salmon if you're planning any trips out during the run up to the weekend. As far as peg draw goes- I'd be in favor of drawing day two at the end of fishing on day 1

Can the ball on the butt end be removed easily? Heard all sorts of good reports about the rod but can't stand how it looks with the ball

Planning a trip to France for my 50th- in 3 years, but if you (Craig) get a package deal worked out I'd be very interested. That park lake in Lyon looks amazing!

Haven't seen the NGT so can't offer a review. Agree with Tracey- Avid is quality. I'm looking at either Nash Apache or Avid. Did consider a Fox Royale, but Fox have the worst zips in the industry so that idea was shelved!

I own both Baitrunner and Baitrunner ll reels and really enjoy using both systems. When I first started using the Baitrunner ll reels, I just couldn't figure out which drag to use when and would spend so much time adjusting the drag as I was playing fish that I'm surprised I didn't lose them all! They very nearly made it to the Trading Post, but then I stumbled upon the Jan Porter video on Youtube showing the set up step by step, and now have the reels set perfectly- really happy that I didn't sell them.

Good Luck to my fellow FFF'ers!

You won't regret it- I have 2 and love using them. Saw the offer this morning and have been going back and forth about getting 2x 12 footers- I'll sleep on it!

Whenever I fish at Kollen Park, the locals tell me that Saugatuck is a great location for big carp. Not sure if that holds true, or if they want me to head down there and leave Kollen Park to them!
