  1. great pics. 2003 was pretty bad too, yet my brother and I hauled from the lake the following year.

remember flying over from England a couple of weeks after and the water was still shooting 50 feet in a straight line over the longhorn dam. we had a tex mex and a night out in sixth street then caught the flight back out the next morning! 10000 miles for a few beers and a dinner!

  2. would like to fish here......in the summer!

thanks for posting to keep my interest flowing though and nice one for getting back up the slope!

p.s your son has good taste in football teams wearing that hat!

  3. yes it will work but you will soon get bored of it in favour of a pneumatic model. I can't tell you how much your hands will hurt if your start making any quantity.

if you do go down that route, I suggest making your mix on the soft side and leaving the sausages to dry out before putting them though a roller.

also...make sure to cut the nozzle slightly smaller than the rolling table. the sausage will expand slightly after exiting the nozzle.

    have you a compressor?

  4. because I am such a carp noddy, I have only ever mastered the cobra metal stick to the point where i'm accurate with it. any attempt with a longer stick ruins my fishing by baiting about a mile area!

fully endorse throwing sticks. its a great tool if you can get the hang of them. also fully recommend the spomb for boilies if you can't get the hang of it or need to fish smaller baits at longer range.

  5. this dude was one of the best people to party with in America! only met him maybe 5 times but felt like I knew him more through many emails. I miss him already but will never ever forget the all too brief times we met. he thought I was going to beat him up the first time, yet we ended up as mates! that says quite a bit. he has left a great legacy in my world but I am not sure about rest in peace!...not sure he would even like to do that. ...more like party on wherever I end up!

I thank him in his absence for being one of those people that seriously enhanced my life.... wherever he is now. if there is an after life....I want to be where he is at one day!

  6. thanks for welcoming!

I'm glad to see there are some carp lovers in the US, I was so afraid about carp shooting tournaments!

it's true about Seattle, real sunny days seems to be so rare but they are some good places for carping around the city.

I hope i will have more chance to find them during the "summer" in these big waters

i try to post here :) did you fish in WA? Saint-Cassien is one of my favorite french lake, a beautiful place with some difficult big carps... I can post some pics from france if you want ;)

    bonjour/ bonsoir Eric

thanks for posting your pics from banks lake and from france also.

my brother and I travelled over from the uk to fish with dave who has also added a post. we had a great time too. I will reiterate that it is carp paradise. not too sure how big they are going to get up there (growing season could be a problem) but I have seen plenty enough for a return trip with the other factors for big fish.

we travelled past banks lake and it looked a fantastic water. we saw a few carp near the top dam too.

can't wait to see some more posts from you once you get into Idaho. do you have plans on venues for there (Idaho) ?

    merci beaucoup.

  7. saw the pic of the 67lber a while back and also the video of the 63lb mirror from afr albeit spawn bound. interesting stuff and plenty of water to hide in from the bow lot aswell. really is an intriguing part of the country up there.

  8. why do I want to come to Washington? well I have fished a 3 times in Texas and been to new York state fishing 12 times. saw the pic of a huge fish from washington long time ago and it got me thinking. I will always go back to fish in new York and love the st Lawrence but it was time to try somewhere new! you mention behemoths...seems we made a good choice for an exploratory trip and thanks for that. has cranked it up a notch now!

for me it isn't all about gut bucket boilie munchers. that fish i saw a pic of was 48 inches long and a nice shape. had a look in to washington, delved a bit deeper and found a state that is apparently loaded with carp with plenty of scope for pioneering new spots. the best fishing is when you have no clue what is going to happen! I have no targets this trip apart from to get a few bites.

you can do something about carp fishing in washington. invite your mates, tell people who are interested all about it and get some euro gear! americans go nuts for that! I have had groups of people taking photo's of my gear and they want a piece of it! point them towards a few websites for tackle or tips( as long as they are not bow people) and be discreet with spots on the internet. also if bow people are about... fish with no bait or move!

am heading out on the 1st august till the 10th (not long enough!). if you want to join us for a day or two feel free. pm me if you want my cell number.
