  1. Busse Woods, the one place I said I'd never fish. I live so close to this place and have fished for bass so many times there but barely catching fish. I have never really fished much for carp over there, only a few times but no success. So this year I've decided to give it another try. I went to the Main Dam and along the Salt Creek it runs into and was able to catch a couple. I was just on my bike so I didn't have the usual gear, just 1 rod and a small amount of method mix to put on a bait feeder, no chumming. To my surprise, I got this nice 12 lb 8 oz common on a peach pineapple boilie topped with a piece of plastic corn -

  2. Did some night fishing myself last night! We got about 10 carp. Lost a few from hook pulls and one broke off, but the line had been tied once after like 15 fish so it was due to eventually break. It was a new location for me. Didn't know what to expect

  3. So I start off early Saturday morning out on my friends, sisters lake house. After my rods have been out for about 30 mins I got a run and picked it up, the fight was on! Felt pretty heavy and before I knew it the fish fell off. Quite depressing, we fished all day and got no more runs. It must've been too early in the year for the Fox River.

So Sunday I goto Bode Lake, and try that place out. It's across the street from where I had to meet family for Easter dinner. I fish there until about 130, I get 2 good runs but both fish end up falling off.

    Really Really Depressed now.

Monday I get out of work, and after not catching anything all weekend I can't give up yet. So I make my way to Chicago River, and throw out my first rod that has a boilie on it, no baiting yet.... and start making ground bait... and right before that I get a run! Only 15 mins into fishing. We get the fish (21lb) in, picture, release, and set up the second rod.

10 mins later another fish (17lb), 5 minutes later another. (22 LB)

Now the last one I got snagged itself on a tree branch and I almost lost it, I walked like 50 yards down and finally it came free and the fish was still on. Put up a hell of a fight. The line was really scratched bad and I am very lucky to land this guy!

  4. I have carp videos and I'm sure ya'll would enjoy a little carp video here and there. So I'm going to send you the link to my carp videos, I got tons of videos recorded and more to be uploaded soon, but here are a few that I posted, and also have some other species fishing in there.

I will update the forum when I post a new one- Later- Jason
