  1. At the risk of exposing my ignorance, I have a question about those feeders. Why do they have two tail rubbers, one at each end? Every other feeder of this basic style has a tail rubber at one end and a soft spot for a swivel at the other.
  2. Tons of new items in the last few weeks, most recently the fabulous TICA Abyss reels, TICA Sportera Reels, a couple of DAM rods and loads more.
  3. Very nice, Richard. I like the logo.
  4. Nice "Big Interview" (their phrase) with Sean in the 12/05 Tackle Trade. His views on the future of retailing to the American carp angler. Very nice, it should get a few independent retailers to think about it and maybe stock a few items.
  5. You are going to need to know the water temperature for the FFF so I have put a couple of thermometers on sale, 25% off.
  6. I think I have fixed everything so the "Was" and "Is" prices are now clearly evident. Thanks for pointing out the defect.
  7. I have a few Ethos and Gladiator rods at discount prices. Check out the Special Deals & Bargains Section.
  8. That is accurate. Like a soft bodied aquatic invertebrate would be my preferred analogy. The FoodSource lures are interesting. As Louis pointed out, soft plastics are rather toxic (phalate esters amogn other things). In a few states, one does not need a fishing license to fish with "bait", only to fish with a "lure." The FoodSource Lures have been officially classified as bait in a couple of states, potentially saving people a few $$ and really changing the meaning of bait. Mr. Big, you called first thing Monday morning. Certainly you wern't expecting me to be cheerful. Civil is the best I can do.
  9. You know, Phone, cockles are said to be a good bait. You should try freelining yours.
  10. Len, yes, it was the guy from western Canada (I really admire people who can spell Saskatchewan, I have to cut'n'paste to get it right). Phone, just exactly what advice was that? I want to give credit where it is due and I guess there is a small (very, very small) chance that you did say something worh heeding.
  11. Nice going, Louis, you hit the nail on the head and ended the suspense. The list on the web site is very incomplete, they are making "Carp Candies" in seven colors and ten flavors (anise, blood, chocolate, scopex, strawberry, garlic/triple salts, sugar, bait fish, crawfish and the incomparable Obsession ™ for Carp). Available soon from....
  12. Not bread and not either the mush or the plastic wads that Berkley came uo with a couple of years ago. We will have to get it into the hands of a competent paylaker. I know the stuff catches very well in wildwaters, we shall see about paylakes. Waker Bait & Tackle is not the manufacture of the new bait. We did play a small role in its developement and we will, of course, be distributing it but another company gets the credit for this inovation.
  13. Its not corn, its not dough bait and its not a boilie. A new carp bait has been developed by American scientists. It is already doing well in Italy, Czech Republic, South Africa and Germany. Soon to be on the shelves of your favorite American carp shop.
  14. METHOD MIXES? I knew about the boilies but what's this about method mixes?
  15. I gotta admit, all the really good guys are with ACS. They not only buy from me but they don't even bug me for wholesale pricing (although they probably should). Wayne was wering a WB&T shirt, too. I should take a lesson from those guys.
  16. I have listed a bunch of new items in the "Special Deals, Bargains" section. Quite a few new items in the last couple of weeks, too.
  17. We will have to go face-to-face one of these days. My favorite, however, is baby back ribs, not butt. Smoker, not grill. Weber Smokey Mountian to be specific. 20hrs low and slow for the 22lbs of pork butt.
  18. Stinking keyboard.......... Paul "It's Never My Mistake" Pezalla
  19. A bit of D.A.M. carp gear is now avaialble in the USA. This is top quality stuff and the prices aren't bad. Take a look at the new products section for details. Quantities ae VERY limited.
  20. WB&T now has a section devoted to fly fishing for carp. We have a selection of flies that are know to be attractive to carp. We can put together outfits suited for big carp fishing. Cortland rod & reel for a good entry level, Okuma reel plus St. Croix Premier Rod for a great quality set at a modest price and St. Croix Avid Series Rod plus St. Croix Legand Large Arbor Disk Drive for a top-of-the-line setup.
  21. Lost his mojo? Please don't say things like that. I would like to see him catch a bunch of 40s in Texas in the next couple of weeks, then take a slow drive from Texas to NY - thinking intensly (and that is what he does) about carp fishing every inch of the way.
  22. ACS is first rate at fulfillment. The lovely trophy is shown below, the cash is spent with nothing to show for it and the entry into the World Cup is looking more valuable every day. I am still not a fan of competitive fishing but one has to admire the job Sean, Wayne and David are doing.
  23. So you really are selling all your gear and quitting fishing? A new baby plus rolling bait.... We will never see you again <g>. Rock 'n' roll, dude.
  24. The only bait deal Scott has gotten from WB&T is a free pound of my boilies for ATC. The only reason he got those is because he was promised a kilo of Mainline but they were inadvertantly given to someone else. I was afraid he would beat the crap out of me so I gave him the freebies. Not because we are friends, god forbid.
