I fished that same spot with my Dad in June. Some local guy said all the carp guys fish that corner in the margins and boy did it produce(I found a few pop up in the grass there confirming it was a legit spot). We caught 30+ fish up to 21# in about 10 hours. We even had a couple of triple runs.

Like Aaron mentioned the shallow areas are near deep drop offs.

Hey I’m close to Iowa.

My best luck this time of year has been fishing areas in 6 feet of water or less. Also try to fish places where you can see fish of any species or birds.

Bait and rigs should be instant and simply. For example hair rig with corn/fake corn and a Panko pack.

Fish a spot for an hour tops then move.

Fish the warmer parts of the day.

Dont let a blank shake your confidence.

I don’t have experience with the zig but I hope to change that this year and do some more float fishing.

so what lead system do you use with this? do you use a pva bag like your other boilies setups? what range of pop up heights have you tried and do you think there is a good all around height?

Hey we just had a MN fish-in a couple weeks ago west of the cities. I'm SE but I know a few other MN guys live by the cities and have good luck fishing coon rapids

great fish in. Aniq did a great job running the show. CT thanks for hosting us at your place and providing the best fish-in food I've experienced. Jaffar pleasure meeting you and watching that monster bullhead catfish take your double 20mm boilies.

I caught my new PB 26.02 on flavor and plastic maze. Both my boys caught their first carp/PB each around 10-12#.

sounds good. I am working overnight and will leave rochester around 730am and plan to be there around 10am. I will make sure I bring my camera and scale for my new MN and all time PRs.
