Can't stop looking at the underwater photos, they're brilliant. Mielie bom article was real quality and I also enjoyed the different point of views that were used in the FFF and ATC coverage.

All of the domestic bait companies are good, K1, WCB,carp candy, r an w, etc. make great products, I find them to be much better suited for N American waters than the expensive euro made baits(most are overpriced channel cat bait imo). I know a lot of people that swear by K1 and they have a very expansive line of products. All the WCB stuff I have used is top notch, but for me the most productive line of baits I have found is carp candy, the flavors arent overpowering, their boilies have great texture and the flavored corns are completely saturated through the kernel.

Thanks for the quick responseNow that the Venue has been announced, the CCC Committee is being formed and will work on the event budget, prizes, How many anglers the venue can accommodate, hotels and everything else that will shape and form the 2013 CCC. Registration at this moment should be opened around the beginning of May

Does anyone know when registration for this is expected to become available.

I am happy to see my beloved white river get a chance to be in the spotlight, hoosier carpers are a eclectic group with every style of carp angling well represented and we all share a strong love for the worlds greatest sportfish. Jimmy and the staff at westside always work tirelessly to put on a good show whenever they host a tournament so I am sure this CCC will be top notch.

That is quite a transformation, I hope it guides you to many new productive and rewarding swims.

Great looking fish! Congrats on prebaiting and perseverance paying off well.

My favorite/funny carp story is the time I had a 9 hour fight with a 9 lb. carp. This happened back during my paylake days, I had just finished casting out my lines and set all my rods in there rod holders when my fresh from the walmart ugly stik combo(I have always been a real tart) jolted from its holder, despite being 3 feet away I never even had a chance to grab it before it hit the water. I was pretty bummed out about this but borrowed a rod from a buddy and continued to fish on, roughly 9 hours later when I was reeling in to rebait I managed to haul in a giant birdsnest of line. I started dragging the tangled up line out of the water and low and behold I was happy to find my new rod at the end of the line, but the even bigger surprise was when I felt a sudden tug on the other end of the line and I realized I still had a fish on. I started pulling in the line hand over hand, by the time I got the fish to the bank my hands where cut to shreds but after 9 hours I was happy to land my trophy.

I look forward to seeing it.

I have a few basic mixes on my YouTube channel that are easy to make . I will post up a link later after work.
You mentioned in one of your videos that you would be doing one on a forever grits recipe, is this one you are still working on or is it posted?

Frank's fully scaled mirror looks more like a fully mirrored muddler

Thats not your average home made bait, looks great!

Impressive results especially considering such difficult conditions.

I wonder what that aerosol spray is comprised of, that mix did seem to roll off that table with ease after being sprayed with it. Next time I roll boilies I might try spraying a coat of Pam on my sausages to see if I get a similar result.

Thank you for your posts, I like to show the pictures of Max to my wife when I am addressing the very serious dachshund shortage in our home.

I always make sure to pack one or two of these:

Kind of strange as she also does BOW FISHING for species like carp.......not my thing and she's not that hot.
Are you saying the Asian Carp she shot are like the common carp we fish for? If that's the case, statements like that only help bowfisherman justify what they do. Jimmy Houston and Babe Winkleman aren't that hot either but they put out some pretty good programming and have been successful, I think we should support other carpers when they try to feature carp as a sportfish instead of trolling on forums with irrelevent criticisms.

Thanks for the tip, I wasn't sure if all those corn is safe for carp to eat though, even with prep
Deer corn is a lesser quality than feed corn but I feel that if prepared properly it won't hurt carp, some will disagree I'm sure.

I have used resistance, wacker, big carp and carp kit. All ship quickly and the service is great, anytime I have had questions I have received quick and helpful responses. Shop around, each retailer features different brands/products and sometimes one will be a little cheaper than the other. Shipping can be a pain but I try to place large orders and the shipping cost usually ends up being close to what I would have paid in sales tax if I had bought the stuff at the walmart down the street.
P.S. I know NJ isn't exactly part of the corn belt but paying that for corn seems pretty steep, there are many more options than tractor supply. Birdseed stores like wild birds unlimited, many plant nursuries sell "squirrel corn", sporting good stores sell deer corn, feed co-ops etc. Big carp has some great prices on particles in bulk like hemp and parti mix but I would look into more options before paying to ship maize..

I haven't, but the problem might be the water temperature. Being at sea-level, the average temperatures will be rather high negatively affecting carp's growth potential. Having said that, I wonder what would happen if you throw some carp in the brackish cenotes.
.I swam alongside catfish that were easily over 30 pounds at quintana roo, did not have any luck getting permission to wet a line though.

Just spoke to a fishing buddy that also got hit, charges to ftd florists and walmart totaling almost a grand.

Only one time did I have bullets flying around. Some young narcos decided it was fun to hunt rabbits with AK-47's; "Bola de Pendejos". Other than did, things are ok down here.
Mario, this is off topic but I was wondering if you have done any exploring around the tourist areas of Mexico (playa del carmen, cozumel etc.)? During my drive from playa del carmen to the mayan ruins at chichen itza we passed some lakes that gave me that gut feeling they held some monsters.

Mine started early this month according to my CC Co.
The first attempts on my card were from the 21st then a bunch again last night and this morning.

If you aren't sure about boilies their flavored corns are the best I have used, although I have had a couple sessions so far this year where the 12mm pinenanna boilies have out produced sweetcorn when used side by side.
