    Im sure this is not the case here but my friend was having a similar problem one day until i noticed he had run his line through the side of the rod tips last guide. He broke off two fish before I noticed. I still bust his chops about it everytime we fish.

    Jerome, May I suggest that possibly your new "aerodynamic" look had something to do with the pulled muscle in your leg. ? While running for your alarm, your bottom half couldn't quite keep up with your new speedy top half. ? Just a thought...

    Thanks for letting me take your rod though.. i wish the story had a better ending . It really felt like a Big One.

    It wasn't too long ago that i didn't know what a hair rig was and if you gave me a bag full of boilies, i wouldn't have known what to do with them. Fast forward a year and a half and i find myself sharing the bank with some of the most knowledgable carp fishermen on the east coast, taking my picture , netting a fish for me and cheering me on. What a Country! What a Group! ( CAG). I had a Great time! Thanks Dave and CAG.

    Here in Rhode Island, we are having a "Big 3" contest for the months of April, May and June. You enter your biggest fish for each month. Most total weight for the 3 fish at the end of June would be the winner. First , Second and Third place will receive the new CAG medals. To say that I'm not excited about the competition would be untrue. I'm fishing hard ( a lot) and having a great time.

    Here is my biggest April entry so far. 21 lbs 5 oz. Stay tuned!!
