  1. Wow. First time I ever heard of this. Quite a Folly.

So, to my understanding, fishing would be limited inside the USA, and not in Canada along the St-Lawrence River. So in NY state along the St-Lawrence would be acceptable?

But I may be wrong, since I noticed (...or province...) in the registration post the following:

    Your CAG forum name:

Your state or province of residence:

If it differs from your residence,

the state or province of your FFF 2015 venue:

Junior (17 or under as of 1/1/15)?:

Wonder if the river would be frozen the 1st of January, 2015? If not the line and the carper. LOL

A good heater in or near the entrance of the Bivvy should suffice.

Can I get some answers to my queries?

  2. Nice pictures. Nice carps.

I see those blue umbrellas are popular.

Mine was smaller, should have brought my broilie. Fought with the armchair umbrella holder. Had to switch side when wind changed. Thought I had lost a bolt in the tall grass, but found out once home that I had inserted the screw the opposite side of the umbrella arm holder. There is now a bare spot in the grass at peg #5 where I looked for it. LOL

  3. Still was a great event. But fishing is fishing, and still better than a day at the Office (well for those who aren't retired, LOL, lucky b_stards).

Being relatively new at carp fishing I never used the krill (in its various forms) and may give it a try. Also, I always learn something meeting and/or chatting with carpers. Like the mention of back lead. Did not know what that meant or was. Looked it up and now know it can be practical in some conditions.

Also, I may have overfed the area (peg #5) I was trying to fish, and maybe my baiting was more towards suckers. The current sure proved that with the success of peg #6. Sorry. LOL

Sure wished peg #4 would have put as much effort in baiting as I did. LOL

  4. LOL

Exactly. As an example, once back home I verified my Navionics App for where peg #5 was (approximately) and the bottom formation at the distance I was casting pass the weed beds (my left rod was bringing back small quantity, but my right rod was hauling a huge salad bar each time). The underwater bottom structure has a curve break on the map. So God only knows what was happening in the depths. LOL

Maybe the underwater real estate just wasn't pleasing enough for the carps. Looked more like a neighborhood for suckers.

The lead of my left rod was making a movement under water from left to right to left (looked liked a little whirlpool), but my right rod's lead stayed straight in front (no movement).

    Still enjoyed myself.
