Nice picture.
Thanks for sharing.

Greg, I believe that it is you that Ian was referring to when he advised me that you where meeting Tony instead of me. Much appreciated, since I noticed that the detour to Long-Sault would have been quite a detour for me, instead of heading right up Hwy 416 to Ottawa. I had told Tony I was meeting him Saturday evening, but then told him, once pass Custom, that Ian had made other arrangements and Tony confirmed it.Thank you all, it was a very pleasant day, I had a lot of pleasure to be there even if the weather conditions was bad. Congratulations to the winner Adam ! It was really cool to met Jérôme and Iain, I will surely be back in 2015.
I'm so sorry that I couldn't come to the dinner... It seems that you had some fun !
Greg
Night driving, is getting more difficult at my age. LOL

Now just imagine the kid sharing with friends what you did for him. He must the envy of all his pals.

Accompanying the wife for her work. She's driving one vehicle, I'm driving the second. We each have 3 Africains in the vehicle. They had meetings in Toronto yesterday, and today is a cultural day. Leaving back tomorrow for Ottawa.
So close to the whirlpool but no fishing. Just by curiosity, anyone know of a good fishing supply store in Niagara?

AF Bob.
When will we be receiving logistics on where participants meet (in Waddington) prior to launch of event? Is it at the park? Are participants going to be allocated pre-determined swims/pegs or go and fish where they can?
First time, so curious and anxious.

Link for buying license on line plz

I believe that when purchasing on-line you first must have a previous fishing license number to connect.

Talked this morning with a US Custom Officer of Ogdensburg, NY Office and explained my eventual visit and purpose to the Waddington event and how does it work for bringing into the USA homemade carp bait. He referred me to the US Custom Agricultural Office in Alexandria, NY.
Talked to Ag Officer "Chiriko". As long as it is not for commercial purposes, not value much, and small resin able quantity of prepared corn or hempseed, there should be no problem. Just have to say that to border custom officer if questionned, and hope for the best of interpretation.
Custom officer told me that as a favorite carp fishing community, Waddington "surely" most sell carp bait.
Going to try to contact a few of the store I placed in previous post to confirm.

Not to encouraging guys.
What about bringing in commercial package bait bought at a store (e.g., CCC, Carp Kit, etc)? Would that be allowed instead of our homemade stuff?
Alternative, is there the possibility of buying carp bait near Ogensburg, Melissa, Waddington? Got to have bait to attract carp.
If I can't bring bait in the USA, and if am going to be turned away at the border, then I guess I can go and fish in Long Sault, ON, but am looking forward to Waddington.
-
"...Also, have any Canadian carpers had any issues bringing bait across the border, especially ones containing hemp seed?..."
Why would they make a fuss. Your seeds would be soaked and boiled already, so not dry (which Custom would questionned). In my opinion.
I'm just going tell them, that I'm going fishing in Waddington. I'm sure that they are use to people going to Waddington for fishing. Coming back to Canada, now that may be a problem, if you bring any bait back. LOL
-
Man, that's a beer "connaisseur".
LOL
Guess I'll have to make a run to the beer store, before crossing into the USA. Good thing I have the truck.
-
We Coming Strait up no Canada needed...

Found out new border rules. If your passport expires within 6 months, may be not allowed entry. Mine was expiring in early January, 2015, but planning with wife a trip down to Naples, FL in November, so made a renewal request today. Should receive it prior to CCC 2014.
I hear there is a backlog, and it's going to get worse (cross border shopping for Black Friday, Christmas Holidays, etc.) so better to have it done now.
$160.00 each passport for a 10 year period, until time to renew again.
2014 CCC will be hosted in Waddington, New York on Sept. 12th & 13
in CCC 2014
