I have a craw pattern I get at Bass Pro (I don't tie) that has caught MANY fish for me of every species. If I can ever 1.) learn to cast softly enough not to spook a carp and 2.) get close enough to cast to one, I'm positive I will get a take. The bass, panfish, catfish and drum all love this pattern. Of course in Texas craws are probably 50% of their natural food source. so it matches the proverbial hatch. the_Carp_Hunter, which of those patterns is your all time favorite?

Very nice flies indeed. Tying just adds to the thrill and excitement of fishing, don't you think?

Thank you so much Dave!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll have to improvise the tentacle material but will try to clone it as close as possible.

Will Sillylegs material do the trick?

Love to hear that word improvise. Keeps the brain waves working. Very nice! :D I use dryer lint for dubbing material on some of my flies.
