KARPER
It is funny you brought this up, this past weekend we caught 1 carp without and eye and a couple with forked barbel(reference to an earlier wierd carp post). I have seen many carp caught with only 1 eye.

kentlakecarper
Wow how did the carp with no tail fight? He ran very odd and it was almost like having a cat fish on...he did scrap and use up a lot of energy. When I released him he stayed on the surface a good 10 minutes before gathering the energy to get back under......

Anna Werner
If it weren't for the obvious Carp heads on these, I'd say they were Redhorse suckers! I've never seen Carp with red fins! Andy, I would have kept that poor pop-eyed fish and taken him to a vet! The thing needed amputating! Wonder what caused that . . .
louis
i caught one with no eyes. he was recaptured 2 years later bigger and in good health by cag member, GC.
Anna Werner
That's an amazingly pretty and healthy-looking fish, for being totally blind. Wow! Glad to know that it fared well!

Anna Werner
I often see Golden Shiners (like mini-Bream) in our minnow tanks whose spines are stiffly bent into S-curves. I think these deformalities, and that of your fish, are the result of funny genetics. I wonder, though: Do fish get arthritis?
