Old Steel

I have been playing around with an old steel fly rod that was given to me by my father-in-law. His dad purchased it new in 1945-46. In 1948, after cutting and stacking 5 cords of wood, my father-in-law received the chunck of steel from his dad. It was fished on a regular basis for the next 20 years. Somewhere along the way it was re-wrapped a couple of times. It's still in pretty good shape. I just wanted to give it one last bendo before hanging it on the wall.

You have to throw alot of line to get the rod to load up. Once hooked up, the flex isn't too bad.
