With so few books & movies made about Carp fishing I was wondering if anyone has a "must have" list

Take a look at this link,I know that it is a UK site, but I'm ot sure how many authors there are in the States that write about carp fishing. (I also realise that not all the books listed are carp fishing)

just got a great book its called A FISHERIES GUIDE TO LAKES AND PONDS OF CONNECTICUT,also includes the rivers and coves to.

its avalable from the dep in hartford.

in the book thay detail an electro fishing expo thay went on and the fish thay found.

it details every pond, lake, river and cove in ct,how abundent the spieces thay found there where, and the size you can expect to catch, even down to what the bottoms made of.

the web site is http://dep.state.ct.us .

this is a great book, realy informative and a must for any ct carper.

ps,did you know the state record carp came from hartford?......wonder where...hmmmmm.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned The Syndicate series by Mark Cunnington. I am part way through the second book and find them highly entertaining.

How about "Fishing with Mr. Crabtree"? Not dedicated to carp, but definitely an all time classic. First place I saw ever saw a baiting needle - he used it to bait up with par-boiled potatos for carp - only took me about 35 years to buy a needle and use it - oh well.

Gary.
