Bill,

Way too cool! I own my father's old Wright and Mcgill @Denco series, an 8' for a 6 wt. line. I know it's perfectly capable of throwing what I use for carp and landing them with authority, but that rod has too much sentimental value. I have other Eagle Claw rods as well, these my own and though nominally 6 wt's I need to play with them some. The only concern I'd have is the old fashioned snake guides and how they MIGHT affect modern fly lines. That is a good looking rod and beautiful fish.

Gregg

The rod is new, from Japan. It is the Fenwick "floater bum" 3 pc, 6'10" 7wt fly rod. I do own several of the older fiberglass fly rods ( voyager, woodstream, etc.)
