Great weekend session!

Recommended Posts

Just got back from a great weekend session with Brian, Brendan, Drew and myself. The fishing was fantastic, I will just post up results for Brendan and myself and I will let Brian post up his results, because he had some crazy fishing after we left! We got set up Friday evening and I picked up one almost right away but it went silent for a few hours. The fish then moved into my swim and I started catching really well for the rest of the weekend! I got a lot of fish not sure of the numbers. Almost all of the fish I had were over 20lbs except for a few of them! my biggest fish of the weekend was a 31lb 2oz brute who fought very well, I also had two close to the 30lb mark that were both 29lb+. One of these 29's had one of the coolest shapes I have ever had on a fish! I had a few more in the mid to high 20's but most were in the low 20's! Brendan fished next to me, and did very well also! Brendan got quite a few fish too with a lot in the low 20's! His biggest was 23lb+! He had some really pretty and long fish!

All in all before me and Brendan left there was a total of 4 or 5 30lb+ One for me and 2 or 3 for Brian! Drew also caught his first mirror! After Brendan and I left though Brian had some crazy results that I will let him post up!

Here are some pics:

IMHO, awesome doesn't describe the day. I'm going to figure the total weight of the fish in the photos. What baits and techniques were you using?

Guessing on the ones that didn't have a definite weight, I came up with 222 lb.! :thewave:

Thanks skeet! As for bait/techniques i was using a method mix that consisted of Panko/creamed corn and RandW carp juice. I would pack this on an inline lead and throw a few balls out around the rods, I also threw out a few pounds of bioactive boilies from WCB out as well over the course of the weekend. As for rig I was using a classic hair rig with two pieces of maize tipped off with a yellow big bouyant corn from ESP, this was under a size 6 hook with a short hook link made of kryston silkworm.
