SIGN-UP - Dec. 13 "Let it Snow" Tournaments at Joliet, IL

Recommended Posts

With less than two weeks until December 13, I am starting a sign up thread for the final event of the Fall 2014 series: the December 13 J-Town Fall 40's "Let it Snow" Carp Tournaments (two tournaments in one day).

Entry is $15 for each tournament. There will be no big fish pot as past history shows that the tournament winner usually lands the big fish. Those who attended the p.m. Nov. 29 event will have the third place money offset their entry (that will probably result in a $5 discount off the $30 entry for two events).

Three rods will be allowed.

This year's "Let it Snow" contest will feature two events in one day. Peg draw is at 6:30 a.m. Tournament 1 is from 7:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and will be a total weight event. Tournament 2 will be a Big 3 contest and will be conducted from 12:00 p.m. through 4:00 p.m.

Peg choice for tournament 1 will be in order of numbers drawn at 6:30 a.m. Peg choice for tournament 2 will also be made at 6:30 a.m. but will be in reverse order of tournament 1 choices.

Sign up here if you are in. Minimum number of participants is 4. Good luck. Thanks for your consideration! --Frank

Medals to the first three finishers in each tournament

Bait/tackle prizes to 4th through last place finishers.

You can even choose to fish just a morning event or just an afternoon event on a single day!

Peg choice for the afternoon event will be in reverse order of peg choice for the morning tournament.

Due to potential for cold/snowy weather, Jackson Street pegs (25 through 28) will also be open!

Hey Frank, it will cost you $30 bucks for me to stay home. (Guaranteed to have a good fish bite)

If you refuse the offer count me in. :)

JDR

Sorry, Jim. With Christmas coming, the $30 has to stay at home. Glad you can make it.

Jim Reynolds is in for December 13! :yourock:

Jim Reynolds...We'll capture carp on December 13th. We can't catch any fewer than we did on Saturday.

I'll, also, be there on December 13th.

Larry, i will pay your entry fee if you do better than me for both events total.

And you do the same for me.

I am open to suggestions in order to make this interesting on the 13th.

I have to sell some eggs myself. lol

Santa Carp will arrive in Joliet a little early to bring some "toys" to good little anglers on December 13. We will start with fourth through last place, as those anglers may pick any two items. Then we will restart with 1st through last place finishers and choose one item each until we are out of goodies. All items are functional and most baits are full or close to full. This distribution will occur at 4:00 p.m. during the awards ceremony at pegs 6-7. I will post a few more goodies as we approach the December 13 event.

Brand new carp floats

joliet121314_prize1.jpg

100 and 200 lb., nearly full, spools of Power Pro--great for shock/snag leaders.

Wow Frank, that is an amazing array of prizes.

Got me heading to Joliet this Saturday in hopes of getting a few catches under my belt.

Anyone else have the same idea?

I won't be there all week, however I will be there all day.

Here is another group of prizes that will be awarded on Dec. 13.

In light of the number of prizes beyond the top three awards, there will be a new distribution system: Starting with the fourth place angler of the p.m. event, each angler from 4th through last and then 3rd through 1st will choose one prize. In round two, each angler, in the same order as round one will choose 2 prizes. In round three each angler will choose three prizes and so on until no prizes remain. Good luck!

I will add some special category prizes in the near future.

Leads, anti-tangle tubing, carp float, swivels, bits box, hooked needle.

Frank now you got me thinking.......... Do I have any kind of warrant out on me? Will the police be there waiting for me. Too good to be true!

LOL, I don't care, I will take my chances. So many many many toys.

"Santa Carp will arrive in Joliet a little early to bring some "toys" to good little anglers on December 13." as well as some not so good anglers. ;)
