Suicide swim? The unoccupied car never made it completely into the water.

Hello Frank.  I am still planning to be there

Sorry, Chris.  We just returned from a ten day trip in Italy, so I can blame jet lag for my list error.  Yes, I knew you were attending.  Thanks. --Frank

Although there will be no pre-designated pegs for the event, space at the venue is finite.  Therefore, I am closing registration for the event.  We have 21 anglers who have indicated they will participate.

Don't forget keepsacks (I will come around to weigh Big 3 entries at the event's conclusion), Illinois license, unhooking mat, two rods, $30 entry fee, 6:15 a.m. peg choice, and food/drink (there is no break for lunch).  Thanks!  Looking forward to it! --Frank

I'm not sure about the Ramirez/Gonzalez contingent, but I'm confident that the rest of the committed participants will be there, barring incidents beyond their control:

1.  Larry Seeman
2.  Frank Rink
3.  Alfonso Chavez Ramirez
4.  Feucho Aguilita González
5.  Jimmy Makkanas Ramirez
6.  Cory Bohmann
7.  Jim Snyder
8.  Dave Marceau
9.  Cory Bohmann, Jr.
10. Chris Reitan
11. Grahame Johnston
12. James Kraft
13. Brett Du Preez
14. Robert Kraft
15. Fred Rhodes
16. Eddie Cobb
17. Dan Hale
18.  Paul Hennenfent
19.  Bobby Hennenfent
20.  Chad Bettisch
21.  Tracy Jourdan

I only hope your "new" dam swims hold lots of anglers, because it could get tight.

We're a little less than two weeks out, so things could change weather-wise; but the long-range forecast for July 23 is calling for sunny skies and a high of 90°.

It looks as if a heat wave is on its way for next week.  The forecast for July 23 at Kewanee shows a high of 94° with a heat index of close to 100°.  Be prepared.

Peg draw is at 6:15 a.m. sharp at the "usual" parking lot.

Please don't forget keepsacks, as the only fish that count will be the ones that I weigh.  There are two reasons for this:
1.  To assure accuracy of results by using the same scale.

2.  To give me an opportunity to take photos of anglers with their fish for later posting here and on the ICFN page.

Good luck to all! --Frank

The thermometer keeps rising relative to the July 23 forecast for Johnson-Sauk Trail Lake in Kewanee, IL.  The latest prediction calls for a high of 97° and a heat index of 100°+.  Robert Kraft has bowed out due to the heat.  I don't blame him.  Should anyone else decide not to fight the July 23 oven, please let me know.  I totally respect your decision. --Frank

LOL, Larry....  Not that I doubt you ability to close a deal, but 20% would require quite a ROI.

Maybe we should just consider pulling lines for a while and heading to the the car for some AC, iced coffee, and a couple of smokes.

in all seriousness, if the forecast holds this will be a tough day.  I encourage everyone to be prepared with sufficient food, water, plus the ability to create shade provided that their peg does not come with a tree or two.
