The Logo

You are required to submit 1 photo of each fish you catch along with it's weight. This photo MUST show the angler holding the fish, a printed 2018 Spring Big 4 logo, and your scale.

Remember, the star of these photos is you with your fish. Your photo may end up in a magazine! The logo and scale just need to be there somewhere to prove you have them. They can be anywhere in the photo as long as they are identifiable. The best way to manage this is to tape the logo to your scale:

The Big 4 Logo is only 3.75 x 2.75." This is the size of many state/provincial fishing and hunting licenses. You can Also put your logo in a standard license holder from any tackle shop, and pin it on your clothes, or even your unhooking mat.

I learned early-on that this event may base the competition on varied sections of the country.  However, I see no map or explanation within this forum.  Could Phil, Iain, or someone post a map of these sections here, so we have a bit more clarity.  Thank you! --Frank

Quick question....my printer appears to be low on color ink and is printing the logo in blue instead of green. Is this an issue? Thanks in advance.

I am not an authority on this, but mine is black and white and in the past black and white has not  been an issue, so I imagine your off color printing would not either.

Er, could we get an answer to this question? I'm going to travel, I have no idea if I'm going to cross a section boundary or something.

Also, I don't see anything about the awards, the prizes, etc.

Jerome... the regional issue was answered sometime ago but here it is again.

Register and log your State as requested previously. Your State will fall into a tegion based on the map (yes the same map as BCT). Fish count towards your total that are caught by you in that region. No other fish caught by you count that are caught outside of the region. I will post that map again.

Ok, got it. Yes, please clarify on this forum with a dedicated thread (including the map of relevance), as this regional concept isn't described in the rules published in the Q1-18 NACA, nor in the rules thread in the 'spring 2018' forum. It wasn't too clear if this was an idea in the air, or an actual decision. Thanks for the clarification.

Ok. Here is the map. No this is not an idea, it is not in the air it is the rules. I believe a question was asked and it was answered at the outset. I am about to re-post the map

Jerome, my fault on the NACA as I did the article edits a month or so ago and didn't post the regional rules in properly. I'll work with Phil on the next Edition to review the Spring event and write a full update of the new format. I like the new changes as it differentiates between the regions and gives more scope to complete wit anglers in your own area. If I had more time to fish I'd enter, but hoping I'll be able to have a go in the fall.

One issue that I see is that on the leaderboard there are several people who are entering fish but not indicating their location or region. Shouldn't that be a requirement since this is a regional event?
