buster
Buster,Don't take me wrong bro, I'm not saying this is a common thing or so on. I know it is not, it could just have happened else where. What I'm saying is that someone will come across these persons. Due to the fact the nature of the paylaking scene and its nature. Hey, I didn't take it that way at all. And yeah, if these guys are still around, word will get to the right ears. Picture this: Saturday AM, 30-40 paylakers standing in the shack, ready to go-----and Bubba yells out---Hey Hill---You're a low life tackle thief. Jimmy say---What?? What the heck are you talking about?? Bubba say--he seez----You're a freakin low life thief---I know 'cause I read it on the Innerdnet. It could very well happen just like dat. My guess is that these clowns are just a couple of paylake wannabes. Fished a few times, thought they we're good---drove across the country to show off--and got spanked. Just the fact that they showed up without the "required" gear tells me that they were clueless. There's a good chance that they have lurked on this board-----so maybe they'll read this, before Bubba embarasses them at a paylake.
LONESTAR
They were definitely 'real' paylakers, I received a look of imminent death after I made the mistake of asking what was in the foul smelling concoction they were using.... :DIt is all Brian Capiens fault , I think he might have really really pissed them off by bursting into their tent and waking them up at 3am after they had been fish-less for 50 hours with arms outstretched and yelling "lend me your radio, LEND ME YOUR RADIO!!...WE HAVE JUST CAUGHT A REALLY MASSIVE HUGE MONSTER CARP!!!!" They left at first light...... Someone here probably knows them, I'd imagine this forum is where they heard about the event. I hope you get your gear back Sean.... LOL.... the day the "Brain F###ING" Capin" was born :D Brain that was poatry sucks these guys did this..... SEAN GIT THE KNIFE.........

Carpaholic
I'm sure Mr. Hill will recognize the items he forgot to return. After all, he had his young son along and I'm sure he only wants to set a good example for the young lad. Surely, he didn't mistakenly think that his entry fee was "payment" for the items lent. Carpaholic
Brian C., perhaps that had something to do with it. Maybe Jack Rowe showing up and hauling out an upper twenty withing viewing distance might of contributed as well?
Cornbread
Guys n Gals. In paylaking like in everything else in life, there are some good people and there are bad people. Unfortunately and unknowingly Sean trusted and loaned equipment to one of the bad ones. Nobody on this forum or in CAG hates this more than I do. We spend time and effort promoting our sport and then something like this happens and sets us back even further. We will put the word out at the payponds we fish and at the ones we don't frequent. There is nothing I would like to see more than Sean get his stuff back. Also, for any of you North and South Carolina boys, keep your eyes open. These could be some of the guys who follow the big money tournaments and you could possibly see them on some of your ponds. Thanks....Pete
Carpaholic
Pete - Excellent point. The guys in question are NOT a reflection on Pay Lakers in any way. They are just a couple of bad apples. Likewise, certain Euro anglers are not a reflection of the whole. I think it is great that the bonds amongst all carpers on this forum have grown strong enough to withstand the occaisional exception. Long ago something like this would have been used as a wedge to drive us apart. Today we see it for what it is, a personal exception to the rule that carpers of all stripes are great folks. All the best, Brian

Mr Big
Hollywood. A few things just don't add up. For one, why is it that not a singe Paylaker on this board knows these guys??? A second thing, how did these guys get a spot in an ATC event??? I would bet they were groomed by someone in the organization. The Pedigree of these guys seems a little fishy to me. Looks to me like an inside job. Either way, something stinks about the whole thing. <_< Tom.
