Connecticut&#8217;s current carp regulations are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Statewide Regulations<\/strong>: daily limit of 5 fish per person, only one of which could exceed 30 inches.<\/li><li><strong>Trophy Carp Waters<\/strong>: daily limit of 1 fish per day with a maximum size of 26 inches in the entire CT River and its coves, Batterson Park Pond (New Britain), Squantz Pond (New Fairfield), and West Thompson Lake (Thompson).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>CAG is indebted to CT DEEP Fisheries for it foresight and support in introducing these regulations. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After several years of discussions between key CAG members and the Connecticut DEEP the first statewide provisions, anywhere in North America, were introduced to help protect Trophy carp.
