Hello everyone. I am an avid fly fisherman along with my 11 year old son. We recently carp fished for the first time on the Wye River and we are COMPLETELY hooked. I've fished for species all over the east coast and abroad, and we had more fun with theses dirty little devils. I fully understand that fisherman are a clammy bunch when it comes to sharing locations, but could anyone offer us some potential spots to target carp in Maryland? Willing to travel, but preferably on the Eastern Shore and AA County. Thanks so much for your help.

The Virginia CAG will be sponsoring a fish-in at the Jefferson Tidal Basin Sat. April 30th all day! We'd love to have any CAG members who want to join us, come along.
  3. New to Carp Fishing DC area

Hello, I am new to carp fishing, and am looking for places in the DC, MD, VA area to fish for them. I am a little crazier than your average carp fisherman because I am trying to catch them with a fly rod. I have a lot of experience fly fishing, and am hearing that carp are very fun and challenging on the fly. Does anyone have some recommendations on places I might want to fly fish for carp? If you're not familiar, I'm looking for places where carp can be seen feeding in shallow water so that a fly can be sight cast in front of them on their "dinner plate" I'm interested in any river, lake, pond, ditch you can recommend with an hour or so from Northern VA. Thanks for your help! Matt
