[Casting help]

Hi All, 

After the hair rig help I am losing a lot less fish. however now that I use braid I have another problem.

I normally use incline method feeder. but the problem is I can't cast it too far. when I am casting it the pack bait falls off midway. when I wet it, then it doesn't break of from the method feeder. kinda like a dilemma. Don't understand how people cast it so far without the pack bait falling off from the method feeder also the pack bait breaks off under 5 minutes as well. 

I use 8.5 feet Nash Carp rod.

I mean you can imagine right, fighting a monster fish  for one hour then when its almost  time to net it suddenly it breaks your line between the swivel and hook. very very depressing.

I use 6000 series baitfeeder  reel and 9 ft Nash Carp rod with 40lb braid and 25lb fluro leader. I've caught and released  upto 33lbs Carp with this set up till last week from this very spot. but Idk now that I am catching big boys I am coming short. I'd understand if my line tension were to break but it breaks right a little under the hook. I could use 40 lb fluro for hair rig but corns fall off as they are really thick line.

Yes I am sure I almost reeled in the Carp near me suddenly with one motion it broke the line. these are over 50 lb I am talking about. I play with them and sometimes manage to catch them, but most of the time it breakes right under the hook link. specially yesterday it broke twice when I went to net it. it made a run and just broke the line under the hook. I use Gamakatsu G Carp Rx specialist hooks.

i used 30 lb fluro here with palomer knot to swivel. last time I used 25lb and it kept breaking either end of the hook or mid point. 

i normally wrap up 11-12 times on the knotless knot.

Hi Guys, 

New to the Carp fishing, I must say I enjoy it more than bass fishing, but recently I am having soms problem. There are some monster Carp in my pond that keep breaking my hair rig, I use 30 lb fluro on my hair rig to swivel connection and when fish runs, it just breaks in the mid point from the hook to method feeder connection. and I dont understand why. I normally use sweet corn as bait, if I use bigger line the corns wont stay on the hair as it will be thicker. 

 

I tried using braided line on the hair rig but it keeps slipping from the hair rig to method led swivel connection knot. 

 

any help will be appreciated guys.
