My wife (Fifi) decided to give carp fishing a shot today now that she is completely healed from her ballbladder surgery in April. The day was perfect and we got about 15 carp while losing 5 and if we stayed longer we would of caught more but we had personal commitments and had to leave. The highlight of today was Fifi catching her first mirror which came 5 minutes after her first cast. She figured it would be a common but I sure didn't and kept a tight lip till I netted the carp. When I netted the carp, the words came out so fast because I was so happy for her that I was cracking up and she couldnt figure out what I was trying to tell her. As I got the fish on the mat she got a closer look and what a smile I saw. It was like a OMG look with a koolade smile. So now Fifi has her mirror and I start catching and about every 20 minutes our rods would take off catching one after the other with some hook pulls in between. Fifi got a few more fish and then the worst happened. Fifi saw one of the carp give my hands a golden shower while picking him off the mat to pose for a pic and poor Fifi ran to her phone because her friend Ralph was calling. As Ralph gave her a hard time for looking at something so perverted she decided to call it day and said to me "honey, it's all you". More fish came to the net and I had some extra work to do since I'm a net lady down but Fifi was still good enough to do the photography then we called it a day.
Here are the picks.
First we have Fifi 's first ever mirror.
The happy angler!
Some of her other catches.
Last but not least some of my catches.
Till next time, enjoy!

Some more fish and a couple mirrors. Now the last 2 were brought in by this young lady who is only 5 may I had. Her father Brian had to hold her while she held the rod and what an effort this little girl made.
The night went well as more pics will be hopefully posted later but this is one was my biggie of the weekend.
The final morning was alot slower but a couple of nice fish were caught, here is Jay and Scott with their biggies of the weekend!
More pic's with hopefully be added later from everyone who took pics but what a time this was. Great times, lots of laughs, and lots of fish!
Hope you all enjoyed, till next time!

The next early morning was no different as we got right back to hauling and pulling in more and more fish. Here was a brace from Scott and I.
Scott taking his turn to play net man as I returned the favor plenty of times for him.
Then the fish!
Here's a bullhead.
Steph with Scott holding a lump.
Another one for me.
A little later in the morning a State Chair arrived relaxed, sitting back, and his reward.

Well Memorial Day weekend was among us and this long session made nice productivity. My wife and I met up with some friends to do some camping and fishing. The social aspect was fantastic, lots of food and spirit, and a camp fire to share laugher all over. The fishing aspect was very busy for most of us. We landed about 50 - 60 carp over the weekend and stopped late Sunday morning to call it a wrap. Lots of nice carp were caught, some nice mirrors, and a young lady got her first carp.
My wife and I arrived Friday morning while others joined us later in the day and then also on Saturday. The carp cooperated right away as I got started catching right away.
A Nice Release!
A little later this nice mirror was landed.
Later in the day Scott and Steph showed up to join us, Scott was hauling right beside me as we got some more fish before hitting the sack for the night.

i think i'm going to try to find some cheaper reels with bigger spools... especially since i just got 2 rods instead of just one haha
If you want cheaper reels with big spool you may want try a okuma epixor. Big Reel and hold plenty of line for the price.
