  1. lol Phone where the hell have you been? Man I still have all your emails about bait selections, attractors etc etc! This guy is the man!!! well it seems I have the BIGGEST ROD!! lmao yes im a show off haha

The rods are from maver, telescopic rods, armed with daiwa spinning reels. I tried float fishing for carp with this rod, BAD MISTAKE. A one lb carp felt like a 20. Too soft of a rod. Good for trout, bream, match fishing stuff.

Hmm interesting, I cannot find a picture of them. I purchased these rods back in 97 when I went to Italy.

We have pay lakes there too, but they are setup very very nicely. They accomodate the angler. Bar on site where you can have breakfast before the gates open, clean bathrooms, and there's a person that walks around the lake selling water, snacks, food, cigarettes. Looks very professional and the fish are extremely hard to catch. sometime's you see fishing clubs practicing at these lakes. The swims are spot on as well.

All day you hear a whoooosssh type of sound from the anglers casting these 17+++ ft rods lol (trout lakes btw. not carp)

My friend even had a 20 ft long rod, and believe it or not, you don't get tired holding them. so light.

  2. TS -- last year on Day 2, we were pegged at the Gazebo. and there were canoes zipping past all day -- a lot of them full of pretty nice looking girls. We were too busy catching fish to take pics -- however, got lot's of nice close ups of cuties!!

    Cheers,

    Brid.

    lol brid!!

I bet it was annoying with all the canoe's on the water as well.

  3. I KNOW THREADS ARE WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS!! lol

I really dont bring a camera with me, but this story is kinda cool.

Decided to get out of the house for abit and do some carpin close by. 4 hrs no bites, nothing. I was packing everything in and decided to make one last cast.

decided to use a boilie, banana tutti pop up from concept, my last resort/ confident bait.

so this asian man walks along my setup and was impressed. He asked me all these questions about my setup.

I showed him the alarms and he was amazed. the man was pulling on the line making my bite alarm goes off, I tunred around and thought nothing.

30 seconds the alarm is still going off so I said to myself ok this guy is WEIRD STOP PLAYING WITH THE LINE. But it wasn't him haha. I got a run!

Last minute cast, wasn't even expecting to catch a fish.

    results, a hard fighting 24lb 5oz carp.

Even at the very end, you never know! It was kind of funny on how it happened lol
