Thanks Everyone!!! I was very surprised when I saw it was a mirror.
Went back this afternoon with Hillbilly and we got 4 more carp. I got 3 and Hillbilly got one, none were mirrors and the biggest of those 4 about 14-15lbs.
Al in all another fine day on the Monongahela River!

It was a beautiful morning in WV and I took advantage of it by going carp fishin.

Way to go Justin!!! I ended up at the wall and caught my PB channel cat and Hillbilly got a sauger.
We've caught over 100 fish this week: Crappie, LM Bass, SM Bass, White Bass, Hybrid Bass, Sauger, Walleye, Rainbow Trout, Suckers, Channel Cat and a Carp all from the wall.
Couldn't ask for much better than that from the Mon.

Well it was still muddy last night. I went to Star City Ramp and fished with Hillbilly a couple hours but we blanked.
It beat sitting in the house though.

If I remember right it has that ledge where you can see the snags then drops off deep just out a ways.
I bet you can get into carp or cats along that stretch of river. Heck yea give it an honest effort and I think you'll be surprized. I know it looked damn good from the boat!
Yep just went and rewatched the video, thats the place! Its got that ledge that extends out a ways then ziiiiiiiiiip down to the deep channel. The sun from about noon till almost sunset will shine there and draw carp up into the shallows to warm and feed. You found a goldmine man!

Nice lookin area Justin! I scouted that area out via boat last year while catfishing.
Your right theres little to no fishing in this area as it takes a little effort to reach, hope you do well!

I was thinking about fishing today but was stuuck here at home tending the cattle. Unfortunately I'm stuck here till April!

Hey if those bass guys keep saying 30's you can almost bet there 20's in there. But then again they may be spot on and there are 30's in there. I'd give it some serious time and find out.

I met up with Hillbilly today to fish the Mon River as it was a balmy 45 degrees out.
Last night Me and Hillbilly chummed up the area we commonly refer to as the Chit Plant and saw several carp swimming about. We got there about 1030am and it wasn't too long till Hillbilly had a nice carp on!

He no more than got that one in and had yet another one on.

Some time went by and I finally hook into a small carp
Heres me fighting the monster!
And me doing one of them look at fish poses!
We had a good day ending up with 5 carp all about the same size. Hillbilly got 2 and I got 3.

Just saw this.. guess I posted to late and missed something??
Naaaaa your not missin nothin here, I just get discouraged when I see some BS being said (your not even involved in this in any way) and it just kinda upsets me that certain people want to keep the same old BS going on and on.
I suppose I shouldn't even posted it but there comes a time to just say enough is enough. Some people need to take a serious look at themselves. Sooner or later others will see thru the smoke and mirror games being played and find out all isn't as it really seems. Oh well!
Thanks on the carp, not no biggie but still it was fun and I did enjoy it.

Well folks it was only a dream!!! Seems some of the guys still wanta talk smack and play games!
I had hoped these guys could put aside their differences but that turns out was only a pipe dream.
Only myself and Hillbilly were ready to move on and have moved on. The others are still stuck in their own little BS fantasy worlds of make believe and lies. Oh well!!!

Yep its a win win situation.
Now if I can manage to get the whole crew reuntied and back to having fun then I will be even happier!
Lifes too short for fuedin and fussin, way too short!!!
I don't expect results over night but to all "locals" who read this I ask you to think about it and put your differences aside and reunite as friends and soon maybe we can all be sharing the banks of The Mon together again just like old times. Feelings have been hurt, chit said and done but its not past mending!

After a long time of fuedin and fightin we called a truce and decided to move on past our differences and fish together again.
The weather was beautiful but the river was muddy and the flow a little fast but that didn't stop us from having a good time. Kind of amazing how a little bank time can heal old wounds and reunited fueding factions.
Turns out I was to get the only fish of the day and my first fish for 2008. A small carp but I was happy to get it.
but the best part of all was my time with Hillbilly!
