    K-1 Baits

    I've used K-1 products several years and all has produced for me. As for the boilies yes they work but I feel they need to be introduced before fishing them for best results.

    My best success comes from flavoring sweet corn with K-1 Flavors, more often than not the carp will choose flavored over non flavored but sometimes non flavored out catches flavored, The carp will let you know what they want and that can change often.

    This time of year I generally do best with Butternuts or Strawberrys but then thats here on the waters I fish your waters may be different.

    Its more find the carp and fish for them where they are at this time of year. Put it in their face and hope for the best. Sometimes ya win sometime not.

    I would also suggest trying pack baits and various lifters like sweet corn, puffs, fake corn pop ups. Good Luck catch a bunch of carp! :)

    One adventures still haunts me! Myself, John Merrifield and Brother Barry were flathead fishing one night. I get a couple clicks on my Penn 320GT2 reel spooled up with 40lb. Big Game. I was using a 7/0 kahles hook with a live gill for bait. Had that reel matched up with a 7 1/2 ft Hvy Action rod.

    We are in a boat fishing a known flathead haunt were we have pulled numerous 40lbers out of. I get a couple more clicks and pick up the rod, it then goes on slow click click click click run. I engage the reel and as soon as I feel it start to load I slammed back hard to set the hook. I got him!!! But as soon as it starts I'm snagged up? Must be some underwater cant see it snag cause its in the river channel.

    I pull and tug trying to get free but its hung tight. I give one more mighty heave ho of a pull and it comes free. I said to my buddys its not very big and then it decides to go the other way! That rod bent nearly double and it was hold on with both hands we are engaged!

    I couldn't do anything with this fish, it did what it wanted to do. I near locked the drag down and it still wouldn't come up off the bottom. Finally I start to get it up off the bottom a little and PONG!!!! The rod spapped back to straight and no pressure! I reel on in and have everything but my gill and NO BIG FISH!!!!

    I've caught a gang of big flatheads but nothing ever like the one that got away! I was totally devastated, the hook pulled and what could have been the biggest fish I ever had on line was gone! Well thats fishin and that big fish is still up at the place we call "The Honey Hole"

    Is is possible people picked up a virus through facebook? Since a lot of things install such as a game or whatnot could that not access your info from your computer and then use it and since we all share things between us that could be why so many carpers got hit?

    I don't do facebook, never even looked at anything there, just don't go there ever. So for me facebook is no part of my problem unless someone got it from facebook and then gave it to me?

    Just a thought here, is there a possibility we all unknowingly downloaded a key reader somehow? I suffered with this fraud Easter 2yrs ago. My PC had a key reader downloaded in it. I inadvertantly sent my buddy in Indianapolis some stuff and he got hit. Traced it back somehow and it came from me in something I sent him. I had no clue I even did it or even had it???

    I no longer even have that PC and just got my PC wiped clean at Best Buy after I got hit with a Child Porn Scam Virus. I assure everyone here I did not even think of looking at Child Pornography and I wasn't even looking at porn when I got hit, Me not sure what happened I went straight to the WV State Police with PC in hand. They quickly told me its a common scam going on and one Trooper told me he had even been hit with it listening to music. This virus got by Norton, I'm now running Webroot and had my PC cleaned out!

    Anyway we all (well maybe all) download/look at carp stuff, wonder if we downloaded a Key Reader??? We probably all look at alot of the same stuff! Maybe we picked one up??? Just a thought!
