  1. Soooooooooo The plan is to all meet at "The little dipper" in FlatRock at 9am, this will give us time to buy whatever we need from the shop before moving on down the the park for the fish-in at 12pm.

I thought it maybe a great idea to eat at/outside the shop, So with that in mind I'm thinking that the easiest thing to do would be hot-dogs, (around 50 should cover it) and pop.

So im going to need 25 Hotdog (Andy)

    50 buns

    30 cups

    4x 2 litters of pop

Post up what you would like to bring (other food too if you like)

  2. It sounds like your friend Brian caught the first carp in Michigan this spring, lol! Were you wearing flip flops again, is that why you got cold?

Nice job on the fish! See you at Erie!

They have been catching around 2 weeks ago on the westside Don, Andy and nikki had some at flint yesterday too, things are looking good for Erie as far as the weather goes.

Congrats to your friend on the fish

  5. Y'all know me. Know how I earn a livin'. I'll catch this bird for ya,

but it ain't gonna be easy... Bad fish. It's not like going down to pond

chasin' blue gills or tommy cots. This Carp - swallow ya hole. L'il shakin',

l'il tenderizin', down ya go. Now we gotta do it quick, that'll bring back

the members, that'll put all your businesses on a payin' basis. But it's not

gonna be pleasant! I value my neck a lot more than 3000 CAG members! I'll

find him, but I'll catch him... and photo him... Now you

gotta make up your minds. Gonna stay alive and ante up? Or ya wanna play it

cheap, be on welfare the whole winter. I don't want no volunteers; I don't

want no mates. There's too many captains on this forum. Ten thousand boilies

for me by myself. For that you get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing.

Detroit river is where hes at!

  6. Hey Kev, spod some munger for me bro...

  7. Thinking ill go out for a quick fish tomorrow as its looking like ill be done with work around 12pm, so from around 12.30 till 3pm ill be at the Detroit river if anyone would like to come down.

Just want to get some water temps and look for signs of fishing moving in this part.

  8. He got a hurricane Don (I was talking to Rick today about what range of gear to bring in... expect good bait and tackle soon ;))

  9. Sorry Dave...

Went ahead and made the Call on this one.

Fish-in will be moved to the 9th

Hope this will be not to much of an inconvenience to you all, Ive Emailed the CAG Michigan's members, But if you know a non member who was planing on coming can you plz get a hold of him/her and give them the new info.

    Thanks Kev

  10. Here's is my take on all of this.

When I first moved to the USA and saw pics like this of our beloved carp not handled correctly I was horrified and have been known to fly of the handle about it, But as time moved on i found the best way to go about things was not to get angry but to congratulate the guy/girl and then suggest what maybe a better way to go about things, I once fished with local guys who always used treble hooks, I found the best way to get them to change was to show them the hair rig and then go about out fishing them 5-1, When I left I showed them just how to tie one and gave them two rigs each to help them out and to catch more fish, This worked as I caught up with the same guys last year and they were all fishing hair rigs.

I guess my point is, I still don't like to see stuff like this going on, But Ive found a much better way to go about posting or talking to anglers then to have a dig or fly off the handle with them.

Education and condensation is the key here.
