  1. A new YouTube video is out now. I had quite a few requests for another unboxing video. All the gear is from Big Carp Tackle and feature companies from Trakker Products CC Moore & Co Ltd Korda Developments Ltd Tackle Guru Cygnet Tackle I show some of the things I got for the cold weather months for fall, winter and spring. I will be doing reviews and how to videos on a lot of these as well.

  2. Do you prefer the soft or the semi stiff? How well does the coating hold up when tying knots and what type of knot do you use at the swivel end?

Still not sure which way to go but I think I've narrowed it down between 3 makes. Any other opinions?

Will be used mainly for pop up rigs with method feeder.

I actually use both kinds. A majority of my rigs are the soft but for pop up rigs where I will make a hinge I like the semi stiff for those. No matter how hard you cinch the knot down it does not pull the coating off. I was always amazed at how the coating will come off easy with a stripper tool but as far as knots and rubbing against rocks I have not had any issues like other brands. For my swivel end I actually tie overhand loops which I attach to a kwik link so its fast rig changes. If I was going to use it for what you suggest I would probably lean for the semi stiff as the stiffness with kick it away from the feeder some as well.

  4. Like I said on another thread, Jason at Baldwinsville/WCC is open to the idea..

Even if not the CCC it would be awesome to even come up with a new CAG Tournament for that location maybe in the summer or something along those lines.

  5. After looking at the photos over and over again this was another tough one. Carp of the month is not always about the biggest fish as some have mentioned. Those special fish that just pop out at you are the ones that are chose.A nice background is just that a nice background and we do appreciate awesome photos but the emphasis is always on the carp in our decisions. With that said the winners fish just popped out at you and was pristine in condition. Also after being picked we read the details and it turns out this is the largest fantail every caught on this particular river so that makes it even more of a standout fish. Congratulations Craig Welch. You are the winner!post-2370-0-93520700-1447210543_thumb.jp

  6. I think there will be a lot of variables. Temp is a big one. The cooler it is the longer they can survive as the heat will dry out a fish. I would imagine the swim bladder plays a role in it. To me the biggest thing would be keeping water near the gills. As soon as the gills dry the fish suffocates. Gills are meant for water so once the water is removed that is it for them. I would imagine it would be a respiratory failure at that point. To give a set time though I can not as there would be too many variables involved.

  7. A lot of work went into this video just to be able to capture it all. This is my Carp Care Series Part 8. This video shows you start to finish everything I do for carp care while fishing. I got some underwater footage, Delkim Ltd Screaming run. Big shout out to Trakker Products for the carp care gear used in the videos. I play, net and land the fish. Show you my weigh setup and scale. Once I weigh the fish I show you how I set up my camera to photograph it. Once completed I use the Korda Developments Ltd carp care kit to help promote healing on any wounds. Finally we release here back into the water and get some quick gopro footage of the release. Thanks so much for watching and sharing. Hit Subscribe for more!

  8. Ok something new for me. Using a Water Wolf I am not able to learn a whole lot more about the carp I am fishing for. In this video I have a hinged pop up rig with a CC Moore & Co Ltd Live System Pop up. You can see the fish go down on the bait and inhale it in. Mid way through the video you can see the Delkim Ltd run and unfortunately at the end the carp had a violent head shake which I did in slow motion just so you could see how crazy it was and then you see the fish swim away.

  9. Same here im confused also.... so its a big carp tackle and other sites contest not CAGs at all anymore correct? I was under the impression this was a CAG sponsored contest with prizes donated from BCT and CAG the whole time until i started seeing winners/fish that werent posted on CAG.

So for everyone with out a facebook page their entries from now on are no longer valid?

"Pictures posted on Big Carp Tackle FB original contest post are the only ones eligible for entries"

I transfer over all photos from CAG to facebook that way if anyone does not have facebook they are still shown all together.
