Looks like a pretty nice spot. I bet once the temps rise some it will be a hot spot. Right now it seemed like it was in the shade some so maybe the cooler temps didn't spark the fish into feeding. Looks like you can cast real nice there without trees in yoru way either.

Very nice fish again! Everytime you post a picture up you can always tell he is having a great time. One thing I have to say is the pictures you always take are great. The scales always look so 3 dimentional on your carp. Really a great looking group of carp.

I know the feeling. I would be happy just to see some grass at this point. On a happy note I seen robins yesterday which is our first sign of spring being around the corner. Now if it would quit snowing I would be all set. lol

Wow I am really surprised how dark that bass is. Usually over winter the color is light on them from being in the deep water then they tend to get darker. Very nice. What was the bait of choice for the bass and pickerel?

[A couple questions about Carp]

Leather carp have no scales,mirrors do but opposite of a common carp. Lots of photos on here to see that. I would do a search online. MOst lakes have carp in them. Where are you from?

[Heres a simple fun idea!]

Ok after reading Louis' thread on what we can do to make things fun and exciting. How about since we have 12 regional sections and in each section you always see a fish story or a fishin in report or something show what you caught we have a fish of the month or even biggest fish of the month contest in each? I know each year the largest fish in each region is picked and this could add to that in a way to see what is actually being caught since those photos are submitted to cag and not seen in a poll or anything.I thought if you have a new person visiting and they find there section and at the top you see a sticky of a very nice carp it would entice them to hang out at a fish in or meet up with some members.I think the only twist would be you could only be picked 1 time per year so others can win as well. Its merely for fun to see if you can get the fish of the month or fattest fish of the month in your region. If your region wants to add prizes they can but its just to show off yoru prize fish and share yoru fun with others.Its not really a competition and is only meant for fun.Its just a thought for now but wanted to see if you guys thought this would be fun and both good for cag.It could also make for a nice naca page showing the 12 fish of the month from each region.

I made a list of all 50 states in alphabetical order for a reference. If you post up your state i can add them in and also like ontario if you are outside the US I can add them in also. I will have to see if I can make it out to lancaster. I think its a little over 2 hours. Does this place have a website I can check out?
