I love to fish for carp and fish for them I do.

From morning till noon till sundown, I sometimes catch one or two.

Its” Commons” that I hunt for, a leather or mirror just a ghost.

In the evening sip tea in the bivvy, my alarms they both keep host.

I fall sound asleep ……………………zzzzzzzzzzzz

WHAT THE ….Oh .”shoes ..shoes…run.. run.. run…..”to late gone gone gone.

Don’t forget to re bait check the line as well no nicks no tears no excuses ..no losses no repairs.

It happens to the best of us that sort of thing, but now no worse for wear n tear I hear the alarm henceforth I spring.

I lift the rod set the line in with the hook I know its mine the reels off with a squeal.

And now the run……….she’s hard to guide…. hold on, hold on keep her away from that snag to the side.

All at once it turns to come back….reel, reel, reel lift the rod take the slack.

I gain back the tension I’ve got her close in, with my feet I find the net… she sees me off she goes again.

I’ve had it now… can’t take any more… I’m firm with it but gentle, make a note… this time for bait… I used maple flavored lintel. That’s it… that’s it….you’ve got it son, bring her slowly in.

Push forth the net… slide it underneath… it’s in! It’s in. It’s in...Quickly now to the weighing mat ready with all the gear…. ten to one bet it’s a twenty …….Twenty Two she be… and my1st this year.

“What’s that” ”What’s that” ”The second alarm, how loud and strong it sounds”, I’m off To fight again my friend till next time tight lines ……….see yah round.

Actualy it was the strangest day of fishing I had all of 06.I caught two carp one lrg pearch and of all things a salmon on a hair rig with corn.Ashbridges bay toronto in octobre.I also caught a carp,bowfin and a 2 inch pike.
