  1. Greetings flycatchers, this time I have been away from this forum I continued to fish as I like, in search of carps on fly, this time I share my last adventure, fish on a big carp on fly that apparently is raising great expectations, that is otherwise. The carp was taken with a salt water rod 6wt Cam Sigler, 8 lb leader and san juan worm fly in hook size #10, the carp was between 21 and 23 kilos of weight since I could not tilted more weight, but for me that is not the most important, the best was the sense that previous hunting and the fight to bring it, and I hope you enjoy it, sorry for the pics but I was along and was very dificult to move this fish, I obviously did not expect to capture something of this size, would otherwise have been with a companion and more equipment for take the weight. Greetings to all from Mexico

  2. POR FAVOR MARIO, ME HARIAS EL FAVOR DE TRADUCIR ESTA PEQUEÑA RESEÑA DE MI PESCA? GRACIAS A TODOS POR SUS PALABRAS, LA VERDAD AUN ESTOY EN SHOCK, NORMALMENTE PESCO A SOLAS,HASTA HOY ES LA MEJOR FORMA QUE HE ENCONTRADO PARA CAZAR CARPAS CON MOSCA Y LA VERDAD EN ESTA OCASIÓN ME ARREPIENTO DE ESTO YA QUE MANIOBRAR UNA CARPA DE ESAS DIMENSIONES ME FUE MUY DIFICL, HACERCARLA CON LA CAÑA DE MOSCA PARA REALIZARLA CON LA RED FUE REALMENTE ESTRESANTE, UNA PERSONA QUE IBA PASANDO FUE LA QUE ME AUXILIO CON LAS FOTOS, DE AHÍ QUE LAS FOTOS NO SON BUENAS, PERO LES PUEDO COMPARTIR QUE LA CAPTURA LA REALICE CON UNA CAÑA 6WT Y LEADER DE 8LBS Y SAN jUAN WORM FLY.LA CARPA IBA EN CARDUMEN DE 5 O 6 CARPAS DE MENOR TAMAÑO, DESDE LUEGO TODO ESTO A PEZ VISTO, LANCE MIS MOSCA ADELANATADA UNAS CUANTAS YARDAS, ESPERANDO CON ELLO INTERCEPTARLAS EN SU CAMINO, PASARON TODAS Y FUE CUANDO VI QUE REGRESO UNA DE ELLAS A TOMAR MI MOSCA, VI COMO SE DIRIGIO DIRECTAMENTE A LA MOSCA FRENTE A MI A ESCASOS 5 METROS, ABRIO SU HOCICO Y LA TOMO, FUE CUANDO CLAVE Y LO DEMÁS YA SE LO HAN DE IMAGINAR, NO SE SI SE ASUSTO MÁS ELLA O YO, FUE UNA PELEA DE 25 MINUTOS LLEVANDOSE 110 YARDAS DE BACKING Y EL PESCADOR CON EL CORAZÓN EN LA MANO LOS ÚLTIMOS MOMENTOS ANTES DE REALIZARLA. EL SUBIRLA A LA RED Y TARTAR DE PESARLA FUE MUY ESTRESANTE, TEMIA POR SU VIDA YA QUE SU PANZA ERA IMPRESIONANTE Y SU PESO PODRIA DAÑARLA, EN FIN, HICE LO QUE PUDE FUERA DEL AGUA, ELLA SE MUEVE MEJOR DENTRO DE ELLA, AFUERA ERA COMO TENER UN CERDO CON ALETAS Y QUERERLE INYECTAR SU MEDICINA, EL SOLTARLA FUE LO MEJOR, SÓLO ESPERO VERLA NUVAMENTE CON 10 LBS MÁS, SALUDOS A TODOS

  3. Thank you very much for your words Marío, Simply I did the same thing that your you had done. I´m sure. and other thing

"As to what they are feeding on, I still haven't got the slightest clue. Never saw any crawdads, no shells, no snails, nothing. Only a dragonfly larva and some tiny bloodsuckers. I'm guessing it must be bloodworms or something similar. Whatever it is, it's available in great abundance"

Is true..........and good to me, nice to practice my roll cast, my flies and my vice, viva the Fly fishing.

  4. Normally when I go in search of the big carps I use my 8Wt rod, but this time my 8WT Rod was broken and this one in guarantee, then take the rod 6, the reel is a 7/8 for salt water (I dont need to cast to far but I need backing and nice drag). My equipment to works very well. The carp run away 60 yds the first tame, the second time 40 yds, and the third time less, In shallow waters and near the shore start the nerves, remember I was used 8 lb tippet and I saw the fly in her lips.............nice fight, nice fish, nice place......nice life, hasta la vista babys

  5. Friends of CAG, again I had the opportunity to capture one great mirror, actually my new record on fly, I had other three hookings but only fish on two, this is not normal but now if it was, good luck like that.

Tha carp was ate close shallow waters, I cast on the carp head....all done, to enjoy 30 min of fight.
