  1. I've been getting PM's about my tutorials to resize large photos to a smaller size so they will load faster. There are numerous programs that will do this. I have written a tutorial to do it three ways using a free Microsoft add on or a free program (Irfanview).

I prefer the Microsoft add on as it is VERY simple and only requires about 3 clicks to resize a photo.

Although I prefer the Microsoft add on, I also use Irfanview often as it is a free and very strong program that affords the ability to do many things to one or more photos.

Click here to get and use the Microsoft add on to downsize one or many photos.

Click here to get and use Irfanview to resize several photos at once.

Click here to get and use Irfanview to resize a single photo.

It was recently suggested that AI Picture Utility be used to resize photos. If any want a tutorial for that program, make a reply to this post and I will edit this post to include it.

  2. ..... and i cant help with the pictures. sorry :D

Actually, you can and very easily.

Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...ppowertoys.mspx . Go down the right side looking for image resizer. Click on and down load it.

    Install.

All you have to do now is use "My Computer" and right click on the image to be resized.

Almost as easy as falling off a log.

Let me know if you have any problems.... more than willing to help.

  3. Greensboro, MD.

I don't know how far apart the pegs for a CAGI are, but a good number could fish the Choptank River at Greensboro. This area is along the site of their town park/fair grounds. Lots of parking and a porta potty. Just across the road, (outside left edge of picture) is another park which borders the river. Food isn't far away.

I caught a few cat. Saw some carp, but I think they are spawning.

  4. Well, Justin, see how you like the looks of this swim... :D

I started the day off near Silver Lake, which is located in mid-town of Dover, DE. I fished about 200 yards below the damn and as reported by others several smallish carp were caught. About a dozen in 3 hours on a variety of baits. At least, my dry spell was broken. They all looked pretty much like this one at 6 lb.

After lunch, I moved over to a good sized swim in Wyoming at the city park. I'm nearly positive the carp were spawning as I could hear them tearing up the shallows across the water. A fellow who came by in a boat said he saw carp "as big as my leg over in the shallows".

I really like the looks of this water and the bottom seems clean. No fish, but I will give this swim several more tries before becoming discouraged.

(Another nice feature is a clean restroom within quick walking distance. :D Parking is about 50 yards from the spot shown.)

  5. Another day.

    Another swim.

Another blank, but I did see one caught. :D

This is taken in the center of Milton, DE at their city park. The water is the Broadkill River. It is tidal and holds a lot of fish. I caught a 16 LBer here 2 years ago and have no doubts there are some larger.

Kinda hard to get all the fishable water in a single frame.

  6. Martinak State Park, South end of Denton, MD.

Current was pretty swift due to recent rains and water was high. The water to the top right is the Tuckahoe River. The near water is a feeder stream.

Behind me is paved parking and restrooms. The path along the right side of the picture goes out to the river. Several benches, picnic tables and "pay lake" shelters.

  7. Stanley Point Recreational Area. 2 miles West of Hillsboro, MD and about 8 miles from Denton, MD.

This is a point that juts out into the Tuckahoe River. The picture shows about a 270 degrees of a circle.

The folks shown weren't catching much other than a few white perch.

  8. Remember, boyz, I'm passing through your fair state this year....

Well, I'm new to this forum, but being from DE I kinda think we should limit the size of our poles to 6' or less due to the fact that longer ones tend to stick out into MD or PA.

The other question is, "Can an "out-of-stater" hold a CAG Record for a state s/he isn't a resident of?

Now don't think we wouldn't make you feel welcome, because we would. If you will PM or email us I'm sure we would go out and wave as you "pass through". :D

  9. If only I had joined CAG, like I should have last week, this first of the year in DE would have been a CAG State Record at a whopping 4 lb. :D It was even witnessed.

    CPR was properly performed.

Let this serve as a warning to others from DE that the gauntlet has been cast down <_<

Broadkill River, Milton, DE on Wheaties with strawberry soda.
