It's in WASH DC, home of the American Politician(s). No one understands anything anyone says on any subject. It's also the only place where fishermen tell the absolute truth (when they are being filmed and there are more than 3 witnesses).

Thursday, Moon.
-
We will arrive about 3:00, for a few hours, if you are gonna do this.
-
No problem

I don't know where this all went wrong.
I do NOT plan on coming to HP this week.
I said for you to pick two days and I would talk to Franklin about it.
We fished this morning and I won't see him until the first of the week, being so late, I do NOT think we will be coming over until the 7th.

Give me the choice of two different week days and I'll speak with Franklin.

You guya aeem to be pretty effective. Any chance you can come down here and teach the Republicans and Democratics that they are supposed to be working FOR the voters.....?

Can anyone tell me about Marsh Creek Reservoir.... commons? size?...Mirrors?
Same questions for Lake Marburg
Also what is the price of an out of state short term fishing license?
Thanks for whatever you can provide.

Do you smell something unpleasant?
Wait a minute, I think it is a skunk.
Yes, by golly, I believe it is.

I haven't posted much recently as we haven't put anything on the bank worth reporting upon.
Also, it is just may be possible that upon a couple occasions Franklin caught more than I did. You can read that as I didn't catch any and he caught some.
Yesterday we returned to Chestertown, MD and were immediately contacted by the game warden. He didn't check our licenses as he remembered us, which is the reason he came by. Seems he had a new warden who was interested in our gear. In fact, they came by twice to look, touch and talk. I think the new guy was 'hooked'.

i lost my train of thought, so let's get back to the important stuff...... the skunk odor in the air.
SCORE:
ME TWO
HIM ZERO
Due to posting picture problems, I only have a picture of one of the two, but I hope you find it "worthy" as Horace would say. (Thanks to K1 and Yellow Cherry large corn. It is doing me well this year.)

I think it would be worth the fee just to learn how to pronounce it..............

sOnly once ?
How many times do you drive over to DE or eastern MD each month? LOL
-
Craig when u come again DC !?
franklin and i come over about once a month.

how much was that pod. i like that thing.
Bought it from Carp Kit International. On sale for $145. It is light, but substantial. The only thing I don't like is that the legs use a cam lock, which will probably wear out in time. It can be stored with the legs still on it. It comes with four short legs and two long ones.

Great pics and story.
Which one of them fellas is "Moon"?

As usual a Great day at HP.
First up at 0430. NOT my favorite time of day.
Met Franklin. Found out breadkfast McDonalds was closed so we had to find another.
Got to HP late only to see the gate closed and a motorcycle cop on guard. Unusual. However, he said we could go as far as site 10 so off we went.
Set up. Paid our 'fee' for the big fish to Mark and settled in to begin the big fish contest at 0900.
A short while later Mark AGAIN came by to collect for the big fish thing AND tell us that the time had been changed to 1000.
A few minutes after that, the cops open HP all the way to 11, but Franklin and I decided to stay at 10.
Got word that Gefilta Fisher (Mark) had landed a mid 20, but because HE changed the time it didn't count............. REAL sorry about that!
Somewhere around noon I had my first and only run producing this monster which weighed in at an even 12lb.
Nothing happening so I strolled down the line getting a picture of those attending.
The John H. Glenn Washington DC fireboat came out to honor CAG. (Well, I assume they were honoring us.)
Lunch was provided by MOON and cooked by him and supervised by Mark. Gudos to both I tasted the beautiful chicken, which caused another fun by the fireboat to put the fire in my mouth out, and the sausage which was moderately hot and very enjoyable and hotdogs.
If you like old yachts you will like this one.
Off the subject for a moment, this was the first day for my Daiwa Invincible Versa pod. It handled all the fish I didn't catch very well.
I especially like the fact that there is plenty of room between reels and the bars provided for good separation at the tips.
One last look at the paddle wheel and then a nice mirror.
I don't have a picture of the winning fish, but I'm pretty sure it was in the low 20's and was landed by John from Pittsburgh.
Shortly after arriving home, I received this as a message.
Kinda makes me jealous................

Congrats!! Well done.

Look at the yellow portion of this photo.
Historically, Gelfita Fisher uses this area to fish and cook.
For regulars at Hains Pt. you know that Hoppy4 uses the handicap parking AND the site in yellow to fish at 11.
I like this spot as I got to fish it ONCE and caught fish.
So, I propose that an auction be held to see who gets to fish there. You place a bid as a response to this post and the highest bid get the spot AND (really important) you get to provide the grill and do the cooking.
The money will be split between CAG and Gelfilta Fish (to keep him from throwing a fit).
Winner gets to fish it on Saturday only. Otherwise, 'someone' might cry in public about the unfairness of it all.
Just to get things started, I'll start the bidding at $.02. (I don't have a grill.}

This post should be entitled....... "I never learn".
We went South and fished the Marshy Hope Creek.
Tide was outgoing, which is the way Franklin likes it.
I had made a batch of Ripe Cherry method and thought they would like it. Franklin made his with raspberry.
My first came on a Yellow Cherry large corn and my second on Natural Sweetcorn.
Needless to say I was felling pretty good with a 2 fish lead, but it never goes they way I plan.
Franklin began a six fish run.
His next one was the biggy of the day at 21.25lbs. As you can see he had problems with it even after putting it on the bank...lol I thought I saw a family relationship in their expressions.
Never one to give up, my alarm went off and I had to hang up on my lawyer about suing Franklin for emotional distress.
Not one to feel any empathy about being ahead, he put another on the bank.
A few minutes later my alarm awoke me from a desired depression caused nap. I had no sooner picked up the offending rod than a young fellow came up all excited about fishing. I handed him the rod and he 'almost' listened to most of the coaching and did bring it to the net.
Not one to let a kid show him up, Franklin put another on the shore.
The next two are important for a couple of reasons.
1. They put my count within 2 of Franklin.
2. Any time I get that close he packs up and goes home................. lol
Got a new flavor for tomorrow. My plan is to get ahead and run home.

.....IF your only catching teens, 20's and MAYBE one carp over 30 lbs. a season, for those of us that catch WELL and have landed fish to mid 40's , its a needed bit of kit when chasing big fish .
Gee whizz! How much do you charge for an autograph? I might even pay postage..............
