  1. Carl lies.

    At exactly 1200 midnight I caught a 38 pound mirror-koi.

Danged camera fell in the water. You're going to have to believe me

    I do. I do.

BTW, I ordered that trophy you wanted. PayPal me $10K. It is REALLY nice. (You're going to have to believe me.)

  2. I'm beginning my search for a place that meets the following:

    1. Motel not further than 30-35 minutes from a casino. (This is a MUST for the Mrs.) Swim should also be no further than 45 min from motel.

    2. Fair chance for a 30 and the possibility of a 40.

    3. Fair amount of bank space for 2 or more, with parking very nearby.

    4. No climbing down to net carp.

    5. Food not far from bank side ... fast food.

    6. Public restroom within walking distance is desired, but not required.

    7. Must be within one days drive of Delaware.

I'm thinking NY, but would like to hear options.

  3. A couple of remarkable things about your write up.

    Nice pictures.

    Good write up.

Now a personal note to you.

Thanks for your writing and your obvious ability to spell.

Now say thanks to your teacher for those two abilities.

Keep it up and we will all look forward to your writings as we do the Ole Captains.

  4. ............well come see me anyway!!!

I did that once. I see no need to put myself though that experience again. :);):)

  5. ....................................

    A) To gain acceptance of the carp as an exciting and challenging sport-fish.

    B) To become better carp anglers, assist others and encourage them to join us.

    C) To treat the carp with respect, promote the release of trophy-size carp and encourage others to do the same.

    D) Most of all: go fishing, share with others, and have fun.

Daniel, I wasn't going to further comment, but since you posted the the above, I'll only reply that encouraging others to have fun trespassing to fish for carp is not my idea of what CAG promotes.

    I'll not comment further.

  6. I know it isn't the popular thing to do, but I have to say that recommending a place that is posted no fishing (Fitz) and another (Daniel) saying you fish in a posted area doesn't seem to me to meet the standards of what CAG is about.

  7. That isn't the one Craig, It is actually this one, it was on sale. http://m.gandermount...UQ9NDAwNg%3D%3D

Yes, I saw that one from Gander Mnt, (not Dicks) and didn't like either. I wanted the size I got with only 1 window, facing my rods, and a vent in the rear. Also mine is really fast up and pretty dang quick down also.

I hope you enjoy yours, as much as I like mine.

Oh, mine is 2'x2'x3" (same as yours)folded in the case with the groundsheet, pegs and cord ties. However, mine weighs half of yours.

  8. It has taken me a year to get one of these to the USA, but it is worth it.

As shown it will hold my full sized patio chair with enough floor room for a good amount of tackle bits and bait.

The window also has an interior flap for privacy.

There are several peg points plus four included tie down cords and loops for attachment on each corner.

NOT for sleeping, but for a day in the rain or blocking wind, I don't think it can be beat.

It will be at the next fishin at Hains Pt for anyone who wants to see it quickly set up or torn down.

  9. ditto to what Willem said,,,,,,,,,and at the risk of getting slapped, the blond lady isn't too shabby either

I mean not as good looking as the MIRRORS, but a real close 2nd :D

Well, as usual Neil is only about half right (or half wrong).

    1. I won't disagree that the blonde lady is easy on the eyes, but there was a brunette is that category too.

    2. Neil, she WAS better looking than any carp...........

  10. Stren made a oval/flat mono ORANGE line in the 60's. Loved that line for bass. Almost cried when I could no longer buy it.

I've used yellow line since it first was available. I agree with Neil, the fish don't give a chit so long as there is some desirable morsel at the end of it.

PP yellow loses its color over a season. I'm now trying Suffix Red braid. I've no complaints so far and it seems to stay color fast, so far.
