  1. good finding Mick. Yes this year many carp don't have a "red stained lips". Reason why: harbor is under construction and no more buoys in water it means no more steel chains in the water connected to buoys. Some carp had a red lips but not so many like last year.

Interesting its off the bouy chains i thought it was from the steel piling wall at the side, thanks Paul.

So assuming the carp would make the bouys move a bit did you ever tell passers by your about to get a bite as my float is moving.

  2. I have a RH digital, and it is hit or miss.

I had it "certified" during the 2012 ATC and it was great for a couple of months.

Lately its been weighing way off. New batteries, no difference. Yet sometimes it still seems to work fine....frustrating.

Whilst it wasn't RH this is my experience of digital scales.

  3. Whilst not with Nash/Fox products ive played around with zig rigs occasionally but no luck yet, nearest ive come is when a split shot falls off the line while fishing pop ups that results in a take.My mate has some nash Zig bugs they look cool at least.

  4. That might be it. I was fishing 7ft from the bank and my lines where tight together in a 5 ft area.. Next time ill spread my lines out a little more.

When fishing that close leave your lines slack unless you want to get line bites to show if theres fish in the swim.Watch your lines too, it'll tell more than indicators and buzzers.

  5. Unless it is a propblem with the rig or what its laying on sometimes it just happens like that because of how the fish are dealing with it, ive had that happen and then the next trip out with exactly the same rigs everything works like it should.

  6. I think its a strange subject for the general angling public as some will quite happily cast into your swim while your fishing it if they think it will get them a bite, definatley what can be a touchy subject handled well. Lets face it if you went and knowingly fished a swim someone had been working on and got a biggie it would feel a bit hollow.
