Thanks for stepping up for this one Frank and the change on the witness rule is good, fell foul of this last year my self.Something i did was to take a pic straightaway with a cellphone it records the time and i dont think it can be modified, i sent in a pic of the cell phne with time displayed along side a self timer pic off regular camera.

Thanks for sharing, hopefully next time you can find some deeper water closer to the bank and get into some bigger ones.
Be interesting to see what else lurks within.

Very nice and a good bank access too.

Good to see you all getting some action

Its usefull to see your venues at a lower level, can help a lot with real major decisions later on at full levels on where to place your baits

We don't loathe other species,no real angler loathes any fish. It's just that when we are fishing for a specific fish,be it carp, catfish walleye or whatever
Odd statement this, its true that i dont really hate other species, i do however get really fed up with it when catfish are constantly not allowing carp a look in with my bait to the point i say i hate them.Another one i say i hate and wish were extinct is Salmon! yes you read it right but this is because i live in one of those states where there are too many assenine rules that affect how i want to fish even though i catch and release, if the salmon wernt here the powers that be may get off their very high and blinkered horses and loosen up a bit.
Do i really hate the fish no not really theyre all wonderfull creatures in their own rights, unfortunatly they do suffer some verbal.

Great report and really nice pics, looks like a pretty place too.

Congrats on your new pb, nice that you could get some time off too

I too have used it and have caught on it. It hasn't made a huge difference by any means. A lot of it is hype and marketing. If you try it buy in the "small" bottle and give it a try. There are so many "prostaffers" and others pushing products everyday, its hard to determine what's quality and whats hype? Good luck
Same here, works but not a huge difference, have found plastics to be better soaked in flavouring, may work better mixed with some flavour.

I was also fascinated to see how they suck boilies, crush them (I guess with their pharyngeal teeth), and then spit the whole thing before coming back to the tasty bits. I never thought about it this way, but this makes sense, this is probably how they deal with hard food, notably mussels.
May also be a reason that socks of crushed boilies work well.

Its best to have both, cattys are great until they run out of distance then a throwing stick comes in, if the baits are perfectly round like store bought they are more accurate, the only thing you lose by making your own is a bit of accuracy. But if your that worried about them being within a small area you need to spod/spomb. In my work i use hammers quite often allday long and can still end up with tennis elbow, when you first start with a throwing stick you have to stop it travelling at a point so you dont bait the margin, after a while i got the hang of following thru with it, its the abrupt stop that does you in.

Great catching Jerome,29 thirties in a week is as incredible as your math skills-you could win anything with those skills LOL
Enjoyed the write up.

"They are wild fish. The ultimate survivors and always will be .Immigrants ,just like most the rest of us at some point or another; they have put down roots and are here to stay. And its time we embrace what they have to offer." Erin Block 2013
HOORAY,just hope the officials will eventually come round to this.

BS on this retirement nonsense , carping is like losing your virginity , no going back friend , once a carper always a carper .

I'd rather be "nuisanced" by tench than catfish any day, theres a lake here that has them, not actually fished it yet myself.
