Loved all the rigs and did I see Hoppy with a CCA shirt? Now I know us boyz from the South are well "reprizented". I missed you guys this year and my mind wandered more than once past the Blue Grey line and up to Haines. I'm sure Bird thought of you as well. Have fun today.

You guys rocked it out there in the land of flat. Great looking fish and a new PB. Very cool.

Did you hear that Big Bird? Neil is only a tad over five foot. You'll have to be carefull when we get a chance to fish with him. Then again he could use one of your shoes to bait up for us. Just kidding Neil...... come see us!!!! By the way. Bird payed good money for that sign in my avatar!

Yesterday was a good day for Ol Captain. I know he won't say much about it but I witnessed a once in a lifetime event unfold at a small park in Georgia. I have heard about wild water koy and even seen some pictures from time to time but never thought I would ever see one. Well yesterday changed all that. Under a blue sky to set off the beautiful golden color the Ol Captain brought a large wild water koy to the bank. I'm no account when it comes to taking pictures but the Cap has a story out with a picture from yesterday. I don't expect I'll ever catch one of these and I'm very proud the Captain did and REALLY glad I was there to see it unfold. I can think of no-one who better deserves this catch of a life time. Nothing else I can say. I just wanted ever one to know how great it was. No need to put anything under this post but if you know Ol Captain he has done something special and I for one think he should know it from all of us. Of coarse I'm just a little partial.

Well fellow Carpaholicks it seems that my buddy Big Bird (some of you may have heard of him) had a day off from the nuke plant and I had some time so we met up in the small twon of Chattahoochee Florida for a little fishing and cutting up with the locals. The weather was hitting the mid 80s and the river was down a tad but running well with the dam behind us all but shut down. Good weather and medium temps placed us at a good place at the right time (we hoped). We were looking for some stinkin monsters. We knew it was a little early in the year with the cold winter we had but everything lined up so we took a chance. Keep in mind this is were Bird pulled out the Florida record last year. We could have had ice on the water and I would have tried. The first day was quiet and me and Bird tried not to get in trouble. About four pm the first line lit up (with a little Carp wisperin) and before it was over there were 5 chunks of gold on the bank. All in the teens with no fat little girls. Had two double hits with one on the first day and one the next. In total there was 114.14 lbs of fish captured in about 14 hrs of bank time. Neither Bird or myself got into any trouble and we didn't scare any of the locals. The big girls are holding off I think for now but Carp love probably won't be far away. I hope to try again soon with a nod from the Ol Captain. You know how it is when me and Bird go off.

Them boys sure know how to fish but don't count me out quite yet.James and Jeff are on fire right now but (I hope) slow and steady will win the race. I want to give those guys a run but I want you to know these guys are also as good as they come. Hope I can measure up.

Big Bird can go from zero to warp in just seconds streight from a dead sleep. The sound of an alarm brings him up and out. If you manage to be in the way you may kiss your south end good by. For some reason when the crew get together we transform into those long ago lost kids hanging out and fishing. We have fun but sometimes the older bodys cant keep up with the good times that flow on the bank side. And so it happened that on one occasion I didn't move quite fast enough when the "Ga.Yety" made his move from the chair to the pod.
