Hit the watershed this morning from 7:00 till around 11:00. Brought 5 to hand. The smallest was, you guessed it, 4.5 lbs. and the biggest was an even fourteen. The other three were inbetween. Now the one that got away: A proper pull down, the alarm was singing its sweet sound. I picked up the rod and engaged the reel. He took off screaming, twenty minutes later with half my line out and my rod bowed over, he was still down deep. I was begining to think I had a monster cat. Another 10 minutes passed and I finally brought him in. He was huge, dwarfed the 28.5 lber I caught out of there last year, as I was trying to net him the hook pulled out. I forgot I was using braid and did not loosen the drag. That last final surge was it and he pulled the hook out. I just sat there with my mouth open about in tears. Another day and another time I will get him!!!

As always a great story. I think I feel a sick day coming on(cough, cough) one Thursday in the near future.

Yep you did hook another one. I really did enjoy my visit and I will be back!! It does get a little lonely fishing alone up in the N.E. corner of our state. One thing I could not resist on the way home was a stop at the varsity. 6 chilli dogs, 2 onion rings and a large fo filled my appetite from an afternoon on the hooch. For those that have never been to the hooch it has a magical feel about it!!
