WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE ADVERTISEMENT
Is it really that bad?
Why do the American Media always potray these instances to so bad, not just the Lion fish, any new species that finds it's way here.
The immediate reaction is 'KILL IT' or 'GET RID OF IT'
I personally think it's cool to have them here, it's not like there's anything else that exciting in the oceans on the East coast!
Just my opinion.
Long live the Lion Fish

when all you can hear on your drive home is the sound of alarms going off in your head and your try to strike into your steering wheel (e.g drive home from Baldwinsville 08)

Congrats Florin!

Hi guys,
went to Costa Rica on my honeymoon last week. Of course I had to do some kind of fishing and I've always heard about Costa Rica's Sailfish and Marlin fishing.
So my wife and I charter a boat and off we go.
Once we're out at sea it's not long before we hook in to a small Mahi Mahi and shortly after a small Tuna.
Then it went quiet for a few hours, but the dolphins swimming around with us all day kept us entertained. Then I saw a Marlin jump, which was an awsome sight! but still an hour before we hook in to a 'dinner size' mahi mahi, about 15-20lb. They are great looking fish!
About 3pm, an hour before we had to head back all hell broke lose and we had a Marlin And a Sailfish chasing our bait. I managaed to hook in to the Sailfish and get it in, weighing 60lb. A baby in Sailfish terms, but still one of the best fishing moments of my lifetime.
Costa Rican fishing rocks.

I would have said that this is amazing, but having just come back from Baldwinsville, this was a common occurance.
The Dam behind the Red Mill Inn had at least 10 carp jumping in the white water at any given second! It was the most amazing display of 'carp jumping' I have ever seen!

That is a beautiful fully scaled!!

The carp fishing in Spain is amazing! and has been for a long time!
I went out catfishing last year on the river Ebro and some of the locals were catching carp and using the small carp (about 5lb) as live bait! But while they were trying for the little one's they caught some MASSIVE carp! well over 40lb, but to them it wasn't live bait material so they just put it back.
If anyone was going to go to Spain for carp, I would highly recommend the River Ebro right near a small town called Caspe there's a hydrodam, so it's almost a huge lake. Pellet on hair rig is the way to go. We were using 10 22mm pellets on a hair for the cats!!!
Here's a pic of my biggest catfish, just over 150lb!
