  1. @All- Thanks again for the welcome B)

@Neil- thanks, looking forward to get it.

    @Mario- you bet I will!

@Gefilta- Halb Schwabe, halb Hesse - sorry to hear that B) (how's your German?)

@Miguel- Tall? Well here in Mexico- CHECK, Blue Eyes? Can't deny that- CHECK, Blonde? Nope B)

  2. Those miniature mirrors are AWESOME! I would set up a freshwater tank just to have those in the house. Feed 'em micro-mini boilies to biggy-size 'em, then release back to a local pond.

Had that for a while- until I was away for a long summerweekend (hot) to catch their grandmas and the pump failed B)

    S**t happens.

  3. *offtopic (slightly)* STOP wearing those rainbow colored T-shirts *offtopic end*

One doesn't generally preclude the other! Are u the only one feeding the ducks. I have caught some nice fish (up to 35 pounds) on white bread on free line in ponds where parents took their kids to feed the ducks B)

Any special reason why there aren't any catches registered along the reeds? Have you tried there? Judging from the picture- which is always a bit hard- I would fish were you marked 'Channel'. One rod close to the reed, one in the channel.

Good luck- and always cover your back B)

  4. Hello there,

although I have posted a short introduction in the Mexican regional section hidden in one of the threads there, as a new CAG-Member I thought it would be appropriate to tell you something about myself here aswell.

As my username already gives away my name is Volker (don't try too hard to pronounce it right- I have heard all kind of stuff B)). I am 30 years old and originally am from around Stuttgart in South Germany.

Currently I am based in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico for work reasons. I am working for German company as project manager and trying to deliver mist extraction systems to a big US automotive company in time (Anyone who has ever worked in Mexico before might understand why I write trying to deliver on time B) - to my Mexican friends- please don't feel offended!)

Although it's a tight schedule and I am pretty tied up with work, I try to sneek out often enough to get some carp in the net. Well until now that has been twice but I hope that will get better. The second session even produced the first carp, with around 5lbs not near my goal but at least I am getting closer to the fish and the first one from a new water is always special anyway. So discovery month has started for me already and will last for a while I guess.

I started carp fishing about 12 years ago. Before I have been strolling up and down streams and rivers on the quest for a big trout, which explains, why I still like to dig out the spinning rod from time to time and give it try on the predators.

The carpfishing at home was mainly concentrated on a small lake close to where I lived, producing carp up to 35lbs (commons and mirrors). Beside this I did a couple of trips to France and some bigger lakes in Germany.

When I am not working or fishing you have a good chance to find me on a Volleyball court, hanging in a rockwall struggling to climb it, trekking or canoeing the big outdoors or with a camera and tripod trying to get THE shot.

    Any questions? Keep them coming.

Nice to be here. I hope I can share some of my experience and learn a lot more from you guys... not to forget the social side of it B)

    Tight lines

    Volker
