Hey Tim -- hope we can share some bank space this year.
Paul I usually fish Falls -- waiting for the water temps to steady about 55 degrees.
Hope to see all of you on the banks soon.

Does anybody know if or where you can fish from the bank on this lake or is it just the piers? I've visited this lake a couple of times now as it's pretty local to me and I still haven't been able to find anybody who can tell me where I can or can't fish, even the people fishing there don't have a clue. Any help gratefully received.
Thanks
Paul

Beautiful fish! I've got to try fishing baitcasters again; I don't have enough patience to practice the casting.
I normally try to match the flavor of my method/pack-bait with that of my hookbait. Do you find that mixing-and-matching has better results?
The bait-casters work better with heavy weight.
If you decide to practice : try tightening the cast control knob and let the lead fall to the ground, if it falls to fast tighten it, if it falls to slow loosen it.
When casting just feather the spool lightly with your thumb.
I usually fish with a flavored pack/because we are fishing wild-water ; none flavored also works.
As far as hook bait, sometimes I start off with plain then work up to flavor/spice/color.
Last year that's the way I fished and caught at every session.

Weather was excellent the first couple of hours, then turned windy and cloudy.
Water temp was around 50 degrees.
Weight 12.11
Thanks to mikeb210 for netting the fish. Just as he netted it, the hook shot out.
Then the fish tried to get back in the water mikeb210 saved the day by going in after it. Thanks again.
Caught using grits pack bait w/ strawberry flavor, and juicy tutti frutti flavored corn on the hair rig.
