Had it happen to me............last time i went fishing I had a couple of Russians as neighbours..............never seen them there before until it was posted on this Forum.....
Coincidence ?????............I'll find out next time I fish..... I will try and find out what brought them to the lake.

Tommys fish was a big beautifull fish thats for sure . A fat ready to spawn female that was real thick. It had a very high forehead that sloped down to the nose. Its tail was perfect and very large . It gave a great fight and then gave one long last run after catching site of the net. Tommy played it perfectly even after i told him he shouldnt let the fish have so much line. He responded i cant stop him, as the fish peeled off more and more line. Tommy kept the pressure on him and he finally gave up the ghost and slid into the net. 45.8 lbs of town lake beauty.
Now for all you naysayers out there Tommy caught his fish on his brand new Cabelas predator rod and his new penn liveliner reel. They both performed beautifully and as i witnessed, were capable of bringing in large fish with ease.

Yep, the ACS crew is alive an kicking down in Austin. They survived the T-storms of last week and are enjoying some warm weather at the moment. My guess is they will catch up on these messages when they return toward the end of this week.
PS. They are catching. Last word was lots of twenties and a few thirties.

I can verify the picture. Karl happened to comment on the sunset and was preparing to take a photogragh when he got a screaming run. It put the icing on the cake to yet another, as per usual, funny weekends of fishing.
The carp gods must of been looking over us................
