No, IMO. LOCATION = Big Fish.
This massive common took a small tiger nut on a #8 hook.
you know he may be ugly but he is right.

Hey polesmoker or whatever you are now, I have first dibs on all that stuff!!!
Oh yeah nice job.
-
Mario how the hell do you fish for those things? Lures or bait??
-
It is funny you brought this up, this past weekend we caught 1 carp without and eye and a couple with forked barbel(reference to an earlier wierd carp post). I have seen many carp caught with only 1 eye.

My uncle has a 52" hanging on his wall that he caught 10-15 years ago from a reservior while fishing for bass. He was using a texas rigged worm when the beast hit, took him 20 mins to get it in due to the fact he did not have a leader on his line.
When you look into its mouth you see only death!!

Does anyone have info on this get together? Can we bivy up? Where exactly can we fish? Who is going?Etc, etc....
Thinking about making an appearance but do not know what exactly is going on.

Nope, not ever.
Someone should get him here on the forum and in CAG. Here's a 72 pound kid that has just about everyone here beat. Permanently.
-Ken
was it weighed??

There's no sense in reporting this to the wardens. If it is like the laws here in NY, it is legal to do this. The bow boys do the same here: Shoot as many as they can get close to and leave them there in the water or on the shore to rot away.
ken it is not legal here in ny to leave the carcass of any fish on the banks or in the water. they need to be properly disposed of BUT the dec has a tendancy to over look it unless someone makes a stink.

park behind billy goats or settlers. or if you really want to get away from the people that mill around there you could park at the old water treatment plant on the opposite side of the creek and follow the fence around, a little more peaceful and you get to see some wildlife over there. i have had deer and fox hang out behind me while over there.

actually go behind sugar creek right next door. it is alittle deeper and the fish seem to hang there more. there is a gravel hump right in the center of the creek that the fish key in on. if you put out a few hand fews of your chosen bait every so often they will hang around all day. also great pike fishing in that area.

i know i could tell by the bridge and the house in the back ground. if you go farther west you will get into more fish.

where abouts are they in batavia mom? i gurantee i have either fished them or scouted them out. could save you a trip or put you on to something better.
sorry neil... but i have caught so many mirrors thanks to "mirror creek" and a few other local waters that i love catching commons over mirrors now. yes neil it is sad to say but it is true.

hey mom i cut my carping teeth on that creek and can give you some better spots where you can consider 15 10lb+ mirrors a day a bad day!! it is a great creek for getting kids into carping. i have never taken a common out of there and i have banked about 6000 fish from there.
congrats
oxquo a summer 14lb is the largest fish i have ever seen out of there and that was taken in a deeper and more remote area. that spot in the pic becomes a bit smelly as summer comes on due to the water levels dropping and exposing the muck that has seen everything.

is there an offical "post" for the weights or are they on this one?
-
you saw how well it brought those rocks in phil!!
-
What powerplant?
matt this fish is absolutely beautiful! has it ever been caught before or after your capture?
-
dude i am only breakin your boilies
-
you had better not be posting pics and details of my lake!!!!
-
frankie loosen your spool tension knob- the one that keeps your spool from backlashing on the cast. no matter how loose you sett your fighting drag it will not make a difference if your spool tension knob is too tight.
-
28.3 for both the common and that beautiful hump-backed mirror
-
mom go with dough balls before the boilies and also learn to tie the hair like ricky said. oh yeah try bread balls as well.
Mirror, mirror on my line
