  1. Very excited to get out of the house and hit the lake, I left around 4:00 am... Which was crazy because the lake doesnt open till 7:ooam... So after walking around in Wally World and picking up a few snacks, on to the lake i went...

Jacob arrived while i was unloading the truck with all the goodies I had planned on using on this (what i called our official first carping day of the year) cool but calm Sunday mornings session... After having a pleasant conversation with the guy who runs the lake and talking about last years hauls I was pumped to slide my lines into the deepest part of this lovely water i could reach with my Lightning Rods... (available @ ResistanceTackle.com)

After a nice chat of expectations for the year and our ritual pop tart, one of my rods ripped off and the pleasant sound of my alarms once again filled my soul with excitement... I pick the rod up set the hook and start fighting this for what i can feel, a very nice fish...

  2. For some of us, time on the lake is very minimal... Meaning while we have the chance to fish we want to catch the biggest bruiser in the lake... Myself, the time I spend fishing is time I spend with good friends and occasionally a little one on one time with myself... I love catching the big ones but if you ask me its the time on the bank that I thrive for and not so much as the size of the catch...
