How's about chicago. It has erery thing you could ever want or need for a great ccc location.

How in the world is the Chicago Carp Classic not held in Chicago? I am a past member of this organization and the Carp Classic is what brought me into and kept me in this group before I got so busy that I disappeared from the Carp culture. I remember when talk of moving the Chicago Carp Classic first started with reasons such as not enough fish caught, not enough big fish caught, a chance for members from other regions to attend because it would be closer, etc.... It is political decisions such as this that have caused many members to allow their memberships to lapse and I'm sure stopped others from joining. May I suggest the Austin tournament be moved to Central Wisconsin next year? Bad idea right, because it is the AUSTIN tournament. Just like the Carp Classic began and will always be remembered as the CHICAGO CARP CLASSIC.

Anyone who wants to get together for a good ole Chicago Carp Classic let me know. CAG member or not lets get back to old fashioned carp fishing.

Do you guys carry any antiseptics for treating injured carp?

I haven't even taken as much as an asprin in the past six years so there is no way I will be giving an antiseptics to any carp that I catch. IMO the more you medicate yourself, the less your immune system actually has to work. Then when you need a strong immune system to fight off disease it is non-existent because you have been supplementing it with man made drugs. ONLY THE STRONG WILL SURVIVE

I caught this carp today (8/19/03) from the Des Plaines River in Joliet,IL. It was missing its left eye and had a puncture wound on its side big enough to stick your thumb in.
