I'm sure that most people know that the Wild Carp Companies Team Challenge on the Seneca River in Baldwinsville is coming up in 10 days time. My partner just got offered the job of a lifetime and is now in Iowa for his sins.
This has opened up a VACANCY for a keen carper to join me on what has long been a sell-out event.
PM me for details and to have a chat :-)
Cheers

pegs 3 and 4 were ON FIRE TODAY! I broke off ALOT of rigs, and we landed over 30 fish. I fished half hearted wanting more to relax than anything. Great seeing snagmagnet after 2 years, who came up to fish with us for the day. 9 hours with as many fish as we had, we might have done okay in the tourney if we didn't have a peg in the "dead" stretch. Beautiful day, LOTS OF FISH, and our runner trevor came through with the high hand for the day, and tied SM at 23lbs for big fish. MONSTER MAIZE wasn't even hitting the bottom before the fish were on it cast after cast. LOTS of pictures.
Well done mate. Nice to hear Trev got into the fish too after being so patient Safe trip back. Loved the whole thing!

steve I was actually thinking of cooking them for pegmates
Cheers mate I have to say, there's nothing I like better on the bank than a sausage. Unless its a curry. Or maybe a bacon butty. And a mug of tea. Must have tea.

You just want us to eat well so that were slower to the run............interesting tactic. I'm sure I'll pick something up, some dogs and burgers. Do you guys have prepared burgers with the bacon and cheese ALLREADY in them?
Jeez Ethan, you want a BaconatorTM on the bank? You'll be asleep before we've got our lines out

spiffing idea Lee.
Pork&Sage sausages, of course. I'll be bringing some up already cooked but I want to have the waft of freshly grilled porkers wafting along the other pegs so I'll have to take a couple of pound of your finest.

steve, ive just been watching you on the telly with tony patrick, thats an extensive wine collection you have there mukka !!!!
lee, I was wondering whether I should post that clip on youtube in case folk wanted to see what fishing with me is like. At least on disk 2 I actually catch some fish!
Mind you, the shower and kitchen is strictly for five day events, for Baldy we don't have time for anything but a wipedown with a wet one
I still insist on the sausages though

Steve, you should publish the scheduled menu and paired wines for the competition. I'm fairly sure you would get some takers..
Heck, the worst thing that can happen is that you get so worn out catching fish there is no time to enjoy the food, but the wine will keep for the celebration.
You've probably heard that getting a bed in Baldwinsville on the Saturday night is all but impossible, so I say that a deal can be done. Shower and spare bed for crashing saturday night in exchange for vino and formaggio for the lucky person

Did you say "" Top Wines ""?? No MD 2020.... My runner status is still open... well, almost open... Fine wine deserves at least a drive by..
Tom.
No two buck chuck in my trailer, Tom
I'd have you as baitboy any time. No one moulds the pack like you do
In Fun,

Well, at least this banter will keep the thread at the top

Also looking for a runner who will work for tea and biscuits and a share of the proceeds ;-)

I'm looking for a partner for this May's competition on the Seneca at Baldwinsville. For those that don't know me, I'm reasonably competent and make a mean sausage butty. Enjoy the competition format, play to win and have fun doing it. Best result 8th in 2008 in this event.
Please contact via PM with a brief bio if interested.
Thanks in advance!
