Hello every body,
This month of October has been pretty good with crazy days and nice round fish. I went back to the Columbia River slough since the main River didn't give me any good results. It seems like the carp migrate from the powerful Columbia to the back waters, where its warmer. The slough is the place where I alwasy catch my first carp of the season , so it makes sense to me that this where I will catch my last carp of the season, but before that enjoy the pics.

It's been a while I didn't post the fishing is been a lil quiet but about 2 weeks ago I had the visit of Wayne boon from the ACS he drove with his wife from Los Angeles They stayed 3 days in PDX and we managed to go fishing the Columbia it was a great experience to share some bank times with such a good and very humble fisherman the guy is very quick and technical to analize a spot specialy when the carp were not in a feeding frenzy it was a good lesson for me.
After that Wayne went back in Cali I took a Somalian friend from my hood that never fished in his life we went on the Columbia and met up with my friend John and spend the afternoon landing a total of 6 carps taking turns on the runs it was great to see Hassan land his first carp and we all had a good time
enjoy the pics. take care Sniper

Hello everybody
It's been a while that I didn't write a report normal I had nothin to show due to the high temp that we had here in Oregon the past 2 weeks it seems like the carps didn't appreciate it as much as the people in another word I've been blanking like crazy on all my spots then my neighbour a salmon fisherman told me about the Sandy river delta having a lot of carps so I decided to go check it out.
The first time I went there I had to hike for a bit before I found a spot that seems really carpy to me a gravel beach with deep water and obstacle I went back to my car grabbed my stuff and blanked again but I knew there was carp there I'll be back. Next time I went I caught my first fish then 2 another time then 2 today the day of my birthday thanks Columbia river for the present enjoy the pics.
take care.

Hello everybody! here is a report about the columbia river where the carp have a sweet tooth! I have some bollies that look they are from a candy store rather than from a bait store, so what I did was cut them in half using half strawberry and half tutti fruity. I set them up on my hair rig as a butterfly rig.....
...I enhanced the rig with a dog food pva stringer and placed the rig close to the pyllon and another one in the fast current. The wait is on! it didnt take too long before a drop back bite , I picked up the rod and set the hook ,after an epic fight the fist carp was in the net. After a traditional picture and release , I set the rod back up in the fast current , then the one close to the pyllon went off. Its always a scary fight in the middle of the snags, but it is exciting, after a little while I saw a beautiful golden lady at the surface of the clear water. That would make the second fish with in 2 hours of fishing, the carp candy is working good. Let me try the burger.....
which is 2 X 20mm bollies and dog food in the middle , sounds tasty doesnt it?
This burger worked , I had a take after about an hour more of fishing I got a big head common in the fast current. Quite a bit of action even though the kids are playing in the water close by, the carp dont care, when they are hungry they are hungry. I ended my day with 4 fishes and observed the average is bigger when I dont fish method feeder. enjoy the pics see you next time.

I had a recent phone conversation witht my friend Vinny and he ask me if I have landed any mirrors? Then this week of fishing in an interesting spot on the Columbia. Lots of currents and pylons , I have always been interested in this type of spot. I always know there is good surprises in there! For this week there was two beautiful mirrors and a 20lbs. So here you go my landed mirrors!
Enjoy the pics

nice report incredible fishes Mr Montana I see that the hard conditions doesn't stop you
WTG. congrats.

the water condition is pretty crazy this year the columbia is basicaly unfishable except in some coves even the backwaters are so high than the carp don't bites same thing with the willamette they even closed a part of the east bank downtown Portland we gotta be patient this year, but there is one thing that I'm sure of when the level is gonna drop the fishing is gonna be very good.

oregon sturgeon
in Pictures, Stories & Video

hello Carpers and Carpette
Oregon is one of the best area in the state and also in the world to catch the white sturgeon.
after 7 years in this state and not giving too much attention to the dinosaur living in the river i decided 2 years ago to dive into the world of sturgeon fishing so I decided to gear up a lil heavier with surf rods and conventional reels change boilies and corn with squid and herring
and a 8 or 10 oz lead to hold the bottom in a strong current of the Willamette river or Columbia.
enjoy the pics Da Sniper.
