im wondering what types of lines would work, a kind that isnt to expensive (also would bone fish lines work thanks). And also how strong should the tippet be I'm guessing fifteen pounds would be good for a beginner am i right?

i have gone fishing a lot of times on a local pond and every carp there seems to never be feeding and every single fly i have has been rejected and the carp dont even turn to look at the flies its getting very frustrating because the carp wont bite like and bass and bluegills around them do, i would really apreciate some tips on what i might be doing wrong and why im not catching them.

my tackle that i am using is a 7ft 6weight rod, a 15lb tippet, and size 8 carp candies and size8 san juan worms and size 8 carp carrots

im having problems catching carp too, they wont even turn to look at the fly im not sure why and im not sure if its the presentation , the carp just not feeding, or if the fly has my scent on it i just started fly fishing carp this year so i really don't have a clue why they won't bite
