  1. Has anyone been back lately? Lately I haven't had a chance to go fishing because my wife had foot surgery and I've been taking care of her. But I did drop by the opposite side of the river where the effluent from the steam plant comes out and saw some crappie, cats, smallmouth, and largemouth being caught.

  2. Couldn't make it down today, I had forgotten today was our 2nd wedding anniversary!! Y'all know how to catch carp. I got skunked yesterday other than a couple puny bream and a white bass! Good meeting all you folks and was happy to see the game warden also drop in. After I left I went and fished a pond on the property where my wife works for about an hour and caught 4 good size bream and a small bass. There are 8 grass carp in the pond, a buddy caught one a few years ago that was over 20 pounds. Willem sure has some nice tackle and set ups. If there is anything else going on in Kingston, especially next spring please let me know.

  3. I'm about half an hour from Kingston Steam Plant, I worked there many years ago. I was up in the coal sampling building and had a birds eye view of the fishing area. Not sure if I can make it tomorrow, but maybe Thursday or Friday. If I do, I'll have to get there early and leave by 2:00 pm. Lots of common carp and buffalo in that area. Oh, one more thing, there are some gigantic catfish in there. That's the Clinch River, the Tennessee River junction is on the other side of town.

  4. I am grateful sir ! lol

Zoomie, they're running hot water over at Bull Run Stm Plt I hear, but don't really know if it's worth the effort to try it there. The better carp spots are now off limits for bank fishermen, but I hear after TVA finishes upgrading and gets some of their equipment out of the way, they'll open it back up to fishermen. Just don't quote me on that, but that's what I was told. And I hear now they will let you park much closer to the discharge and that saves about a dern half mile walk. Good story. One of these days I hope they open the steam plant side back up to everyone at Kingston. TVA owes it to us.

  5. I'll choose not to become a member since this change. Too many free websites out there. Usually I checked the Southeast Region and there isn't enough activity to make it worth $25, even though I met several good folks online here and even got to fish one day with the state chair. I'm more of a panfish/catfish/striper fisherman, but still love carp fishing, even though I seldom do it once or twice a year. So there was no way I was trying to horn in on other folks chummed holes. If I was as serious a carp fisherman as most of you are, I'd gladly pay $25 but I sure didn't like my PM capabilities taken away......So Spoom, I have your email adress, and McWrestler, we can keep in touch on the other board, Hope to eventually get to make it to Kingston, Ft Loudoun, or Watts Bar.
